i just watched a 12hr Oblivion marathon live gamplay. Greg Kosavin Gamespot Editor/site director played the game for 12hrs straghit. he played the xbox 360 version and the game looks awesome. i didn't see any frame rate issue or any IQ problems. anyways it kind of spolied the game for me as i know how to start and what to do :) LoL

He wasn't even close to finishing the game after 12hr :! so its pretty long and world is freaken huge.

also this ain't an easy rpg :! like when when level up so does your enemy :! All i saw at no poin Gerg Kosavin was like a god :! killing his enemy. even healing spell can't heal you full bar, each time you cast you get healed by 15% or less. anyways what i saw in that 12hrs of gameplay is that Oblivion is the best Action RPG upto date.

Is the TV HD? Like it matters, your pc isnt fast enough to take full advantage of Oblivion anyways. Then again, you cant take screen shots and post them.

If you had a 7800GT/X1800XT or better, I would definitely say PC for superior resolution, AF, and 4XAA (The 360 uses 2XAA, right), and mods at a later date.

We're going to be running Oblivion on my friends 48-50" LCD at (hopefully) 1920x1080 if my 7800gt can handle it.

But you can't use HDR and AA together on PC, and that card will probably be forced to run 10x7 for ultra-high where as 360 is 1280x720 and will do HDR+AA.

From the IGN preview
Dell XPS Gen 4 with a GeForce 7800GTX, 3.4GHz P4, 2GB of PC3200 RAM and some SATA hard drives. It runs fast. Oblivion auto-detected the settings at Ultra High, albeit at 1024x768, with no anti-aliasing. Bethesda recently announced that the PC version of ES4 cannot have both HDR and AA, but it looked quite nice with just HDR. Load times are faster on the PC, but the visuals are about equal. The 360 version of Oblivion does both HDR and AA and runs natively at 1280x720. If you have a 360 and a video card that's less powerful than a 6800GT or Radeon X850, I would recommend getting the 360 version. As with Morrowind, Oblivion is a demanding game.

If the above quote is any indication, I don't see it happening, and certainly not with any kind of quality settings.

I watched the first 4 1/2 hours of the live stream lastnigt and was very impressed, Ill be getting 360's version myself .. Sony XBR CRT HDTV + 5.1 audio ftw

The only minor negative that stood out was the frequent load times as he traveled outside ,it doesnt stop the action with a loading screen but you see a brief pause with the message "loading area" displayed on the screen as you walk, im assuming PCs with a lot of system ram wont have this issue.
