I read that the triple buffering feature doesn't work from the Coolbits screen when playing a game. (I guess it's for OpenGL modes only). I downloaded DXTweaker and am trying to figure out how to work it, mostly for the triple buffering. I can't find out how to do it?

Also, when I tweaked the game with the developers tweak (The one in "Oblivion PC tweaks", all of the settings were not in just one ini file. I had to set a few from the My Documents/My Games/Oblivion file and some others from the MyComputer/ProgramFiles/Bethesda/Oblivion.... Some were in both, others one or the other. The blood tweak I set once in the MyDocuments path, then later when I was investigating couldn't even find it in both??? Has anyone else had this kind of a problem.
 
Bump, someone common. Someone's gotta know how to enable the triple buffering in DXTweaker, that's my main concern right now.

Do you have AA enabled? AFAIK, you cannot have HDR and AA enabled at the same time (unless you're running a dual card setup, IIRC). I personally use HDR, as it looks better than AA on my system (P4/3.0GHz, 6800GS 256MB OCed, 2GB DDR2).

They should ALL be made in the ini file located in My Documents. The one in the Oblivion directory is the "default" one. If you screw up the one in your My Documents folder, delete it, and the game creates a new one from the one stored in the Oblivion directory. If you screw that one up, short of getting one from someone else who has the original, you'll have to reinstall the game to get the default settings back.
 
Thanks 5150Joker, I tried your guide but everytime I hit "Start" on the DXTweaker it gives me a weird error message ultimately saying, "If you reinstall the program this might fix the problem" or something like that. So I reinstall it and do the same thing, still have the same problem. Is their some kind of way that you put things into the "Path" or the "Work Path"? For instance, do I just click the triple periods and work my way to Oblivion, or do I just type C:\Oblivion\Oblivion.exe or something?
