Obligations

Anyone ever feel like the majority of their life is made up of obligations to some other person/place/thing?

You can just sit down, think about everything you "have" to do that day and it's all just obligations. Even taking a crap is an obligation of time to your body. When do we really get a truly free decision?

When you sell everything, cut all ties, and head to SE Asia to adventure around for a year.

That's always been my impression of freedom anyway. If you were to find some way to subsist in your travels, you could make it last for as long as possible so long as you didn't buy any 'stuff' or get attached to any people. Apologies for any similarity to the movie The Beach.

taking a crap is an obligation? don't eat then. obligated to eat? no, the first choice you have is choosing to live.

Your logic only works if you think your body means life.

I feel like my body is just a sack of water I inhabit.

Nope... When I was in the Army then yes. When I "had" to do something, I really had to. But back in regular life I have no obligations.
