Will lardasses who are going to recieve free, or next to free, government healthcare under the new bill, pay higher taxes or some sort of "fat-fine" for being a fatass, or do the rest of us just have to all chip in to carry the extra weight (no pun intended)

no...

but maybe the new paradigm will open up some regional fat farms where people go on disability; go to the farm for a month; get fed restricted diet and exercise; learn that it's possible to be in control of yourself; not have expensive, dangerous surgery; lose some weight...

You won't notice the little that goes to these peeps because you'll be crying about the lot that went out of your pocket.

I have a feeling that down the road there will be some sort of mandate concerning obesity and people will have a maximum they can weigh, based on body type of course, before they begin to lose or pay extra for benefits. This will go along with an extra "sin tax" on unhealthy items like soda, fast food, Twinkies, etc, etc, etc....

When that happens you are really going to hear McLunatic lose his mind.

violates their rights.

see, this opens up a interesting can of worms...

who gets to choose the treatment?

if bocare doesn't do surgery for fatties, but does fat farm, does the recip have a right to surgery if that's what they want?

Don't think all the fat peeps in the USA will fit in Texas.

they certainly will once we thin them up a bit...

and actually, have you ever driven across tx? i bet we could fit them in their unadulturated state, too...

i just wonder what kind of business this could be for some state(s) who wanted to take it on as industry...

Actually fat people and smokers cost less over long haul. Dying early, not sucking SS and medicare in old age. It's the health nuts you have to worry about. Not only do they live to 85 sucking SS for 20 years, they eventually get same ailments like obese and smokers needing various surgeries along the way for like hip replacements, knee replacements and so forth.

Healthy should pay more.

Not a problem. No SS in 21 years when I can retire anyway.

Subsidized health club memberships will probably be the next step, along with soda taxes etc.

Obesity correlates with poverty so well people are use it in indexes that measure it. Minorities are also at the head of the pack with 50% of black females being Obese (Spanish women right behind them). Don't see the feds being too hard on them.

States with highest percentages of fatties:

1 Mississippi
2 West Virginia
3 Alabama
4 Louisiana
5 South Carolina
6 Tennessee
7 Kentucky
8 Oklahoma
9 Arkansas
10 Michigan
