I was watching the Bill Hicks documentary the other day. He made a joke about how its ok for soldiers to be shooting up iraqis, as long as we dont see any crap like the above photo.

Another fine example of the mass dimentia/delusion/psychosis people are under. I wish I could say there was a happy ending in any of this, but there will not be. People this braindead will not go away quietly or peacefully. They will leave nothing but destruction and ruin in their idiotic wake.
 
If I start taking enemy fire I would think I wouldn't care who is standing next to me as long as he can shoot straight

All kidding aside, thread is flamebait. It's tough enough just to be in the military worrying about getting shot but now to have to come home to deal with homophobes as well.
 
Marines I know at Camp Lejeune tell me that they don't want homosexuals in their units and if they could speak out about it, would. Fear of court-martial or other non-judicial punishment is the reason why they are not speaking out in mass. Speaking out is the scarlet letter for future advancement. DADT was working and there was nothing that needed to be fixed.

And some Army guys I know told me their squadmate could fuck goats and they wouldn't care so long as he did his job.

Frankly I'd rather have a gay, competent soldier watching my back than a straight incompetent one. And if they're both competent, then I have better uses for my time then whining about someone's sexual orientation and how it make me shiver at night.

I know a shit ton of U.S. Sailors and Marines. I work and interact with them on a daily basis.

I'm sure that a few of them are homophobes, just as I'm sure that a few of them are homosexuals.

The *vast majority* of them could not possibly care less about the sexual orientation of those they go to war with.

No offense taken based on the the picture within that post. It's the intent of your post, which is to cause people to get mad at you and possibly retaliate with flame posts, that I take issue with. As that is the definition of a troll, by which are now defined as.

I don't think so, I think it's perfectly natural. The evolutionary reasoning for kissing is that you're tasting your mate's saliva and smelling his/her pheromones to make sure that you're a good match.. naturally, you would not be inclined to do so with anyone who isn't a potential mate. For example, I would be repulsed by a picture of a heterosexual couple kissing if I was told that they were siblings (or a mother/son.)

BTW, I'm pro gay rights, but I was repulsed by the pic. Not calling for a removal or anything though.

It's not wrong. Typically with a heterosexual couple kissing, you'll have an interest in at least one of them and you can imagine yourself as the other one. Here, you see two people two people doing something sexual, and neither of them are anything you want. 😛

What is wrong is saying that those two don't have the right to kiss in public like any other couple, or that the gentleman on the right is any less of a soldier because he is coming home to a boyfriend rather than a girlfriend.
