Small yard care engines which spew huge amounts of pollutants. Legislation to get them to be more effecient and less polluting is proposed. Right wing wackos claim its impossible, will raise the price of these things to where no one can afford the?

I love my lawn mower. Its a little beast. If my lawn equipment is outlawed, the whole yard will be a designated wildlife habitat. 4 feet high johnson grass here we come.

I tried not mowing my lawn last summer, ya know, to save the planet and all. The liberals who run my city sent me a notice saying they were going to fine me if I didn't mow.

What's the story here? McCain backs similar legislation, including carbon caps. And lawnmowers are well-known to be among the worst polluters out there. And the Obama-Biden ticket is pro-coal, while McCain-Palin is pro-oil. Much of that article is ridiculous FUD.

How does regulation on new lawnmowers affect your mowing? When your mower dies, buy a new one with a catalytic convertor and stop whining.

Or let your yard grow wild. I'll never understand why people who seem to value nature would prefer a sterile monoculture as a yard. Developers in Texas even chop down beautiful evergreen forests to replace with crabgrass-- where the hell is the logic? What sane person prefers grass to forest?
