Who are your choice for the key roles like Secretary of State, Secretary of Treasury etc? Do you think Hillary/Bill will be given a role? I would love to see Wesley Clark on it but not sure if he will be given a role.

I actually heard one of the moron/reporters on Fox News suggest this. Like we need a rash, impulsive Sec of the State.

I think we will hear Obama's cabinet fairly early-he's the kind of guy that likes to think things out and plan ahead, and it certainly has been a weakness of both the Clinton and GWB administrations that they didn't push the transition faster. GWB, as part of his congratulatory statement in fact urged Obama to move quickly.

Mike Easley (outgoing NC guv) might have a shot at Sec of Ed - he was an early Clinton supporter, however.

IMO Bill Richardson would be aiming for Sec of State and Wes Clark for Sec of Def

I'd hate to see Clinton, Webb, Lugar, any more experienced senators be pulled to serve on his cabinet. While they are all good people they are needed right now to be in the senate to handle the next 4 years. Experience there will help a ton and to throw someone new into one of those seats could be a risky thing. Those people much better serve their country where they are right now.

Absolutely not going to happen. Obama is going to nominate the youngest people he can find. Bush showed the way on this. Get a 40 year old who will sit for 3 or 4 decades.

There might be a real chance of him offering Colin Powell a position in the cabinet...

Obama want to get the country to unite more, and Powell has supported him. By having a cabinet with one or more Republicans in it he would take a big step.
