What a sad piece of propaganda. With obamacare you're going to have an explosion in health care costs. Rates approaching 30% per year increases. Utter madness. You will have more employers refusing to hire. Less people working. Less customers for your business. (Not counting government handouts being used to buy your products/services.)

Well of course it will cost more. "Affordable" isn't inclusive, nor can it be. One may argue that from a moral perspective that those with preexisting conditions and those who because of their physical condition must use the system extensively will make it cheaper if we have our mandate. The projected costs of Alzheimers treatment alone is staggering. Increasingly limited resources combined with increase in demand isn't dealt with by any proposed system, and that includes "magic missile" solutions from other lands who have a completely different legal, economic, and demographic environment.

But we don't want to do the work, we want someone to make it go away.

Sounds like you just have a shitty health plan. My plan with a $6000 maximum out of pocket for the year is $360/mo.

Also, Obamacare would not have helped you.

Yeah. I'm 30 and pay a lot more to BC/BS than he does for myself only. No way he's paying that for a family plan without a lot of money coming from his employer.

I have a basic plan, not some type of premium package.

Fuck health care insurance. You'd be a fool to pay into it. Make payments and send em a dollar a month! They be lucky to get any more from me.

:)

Stay healthy Techs.

this is such sad thread. regardless if it's real or not, there are circumstances in life that can throw anyone for a loop. insurance is really, really expensive, which kept me from starting my own business. how do you afford a car, car insurance, mortgage payment, utilities, food and groceries, luxuries and other things when your health insurance premium is just as much as your mortgage payment.

something has to give, and if i was in that situation i would skip medical insurance. but what happens if i get sick, get hit by a car, get mugged. who ultimately pays the bill then?
