Story here.

Essentially, Hillary won the Primary, Obama wins the Caucus, and the delegate split from the whole package leaves Obama netting 3 or 4 delegates more than Clinton.

In the words of Mike Shinoda:

Forfeit the game
Before somebody else
Takes you out of the frame
Puts your name to shame
Cover up your face
You can't run the race
The pace is too fast
You just won't last

Hah, she wants to go to court... over what look like perfectly legitimate figures. But god forbid anyone should make a big deal out of all those rigged Diebold machines.

It's official, the D's have blown another easy Presidential victory. I most likely will be voting for McCain over Chamberlain.

The fact that her campaign is so willing to "go to court" over every perceived injustice is part of the reason I cannot vote for her. She's like a 2 year-old crying because she lost a game of checkers and then launching into a "you cheated! you cheated!" tirade.

She severely misunderestimated Obama and now she's paying the price. Instead of owning up to the fact that she misplayed her hand dramatically at the beginning stages of this campaign, she's going to drag this out as long as a chance of victory remains.

Speaking as a democrat, the party cannot afford for the superdelegates to overrule the pledged delegates. They also cannot afford for FL or MI to 'unfairly' influence the election - if they are going to count those votes, both states should allow BOTH candidates to campaign again. Either event would be catastrophically undemocratic and irreparably undermine confidence in the party and its leadership.

Whoever has the most pledged delegates come DNC time should be the nominee and if the democrats can't figure that out, there is little reason to have faith or confidence in the party on an ongoing basis.

I told the guys at work that Obama won Texas on that night and they refuse to believe it.

:laugh:Funny how you guys weren't saying all of this in 2007. You all assumed Hillary had this locked up so there was no need to bitch and whine about caucuses.

Here's something else to darken your mood:

if you're going to keep calling me out, do the footwork and look for my old posts bitching about caucuses long before the '08 election.

The only reality MSM is slow to admit is that Obama is an empty suit. Their love affair with him is just pathetic to watch.

I want to see your opinion when you give your concern about the "undemocratic" caucus process in 2007. Here's something for you: Causes have been with us forever and there's no need to bitch about them, especially this one which takes place on a Saturday (working folks vote for Hillary:roll:). Stop crying because your candidate lost.

Sheesh, be a man about it. Take it like a man. When Obama lost all the states he lost, people here didn't complain about the institutional process. Maybe they complained about the individuals involved, but not the process.

Your statement is pure stupidity.

Clinton won the Texas primary. Obama won the Texas caucas.

Everyone knows which one is really meaningful and the true reflection of the voters in Texas, thus the media and everyone else will continue to call it a win for Clinton is Texas.

You can call it a win for Obama in that deluded little mind of yours if it makes you feel better.

With the win in Wyoming today, and the Mississippi election on Tuesday, Obama should get the momentum he lost earlier this week. Hopefully this'll be the RAID that roach deserves.

Like I said in the other thread - Hillary needed to win big in Texas. She essentially beat Obama by less than the margin of error and, because of the way delegates are awarded, could end up with a larger delegate gap. She has very, very few chances to make up that delegate lead on Obama.

Texas was not a win for Obama, but it was not a win for Hillary either. She needed more and didn't get it.

Oh the irony.

Last time I checked, winning the most pledged delegates seemed like the most important factor in being nominated, no matter how those delegates were awarded (caucuses vs. primaries).

And as BlindBomber said, it wasn't a clear winner for anyone - one person won the primary but the other won the caucus. And because of the results and such, the delegates were split about 50-50, giving no one a real advantage.

With 9 more delegates to divy up in TX Obama is ahead by 121 delegates overall and 153 elected delegates.

Thanks to Obama picking up delegates as states certify their results(CA in particular), Clinton didnt net anything on Obama.

Going into March 4 Obama lead Clinton by 109 overall. She is even farther behind now than she was before.

Mark my words. If that guy gets elected you'll see I am right, as usual, and you are wrong, as usual.
There was a time when this country was in great shape but bored, and all it needed was some empty suit to give some inspirational speeches from time to time and not fvck it up. Obama may have been a good candidate in 2000 to take over from the successful Clinton presidency. In 2008, this country has some real problems that inspirational speeches won't solve. This country's current problems, courtesy of GWB and the idiots who voted for him, are not psychological, they are real. Talking our way out of them won't work.

Clintons have a demonstrated track record of being able to clean up messes left by Bushes.

No matter. Superdelegates are intelligent enough to know that the will of the people is reflected in the popular vote, not in delegate counts which are heavily skewed by caucus voting. I see Clinton winning the popular vote in the end, even despite the unfairness in the voting system.

If she doesn't I will be happy to concede the nomination to Obama. I would expect you Obama supporters to do the same, since you are all about the will of the people and against politics as usual.

Once is not a track record. And Bush senior did not leave a mess. His economic policies were working by the time Clinton came into office. Just like the economy was slowing when Bush came into office.

When everyone else has zero, yes it is.
