i will never step into P&N, not even to search for threads

I would pay good money to see some of the people in that forum meet in real life to "duke it out".

Reading that post actually put me in a shitty mood.

Anyhoo, I would think McCain would come out and object to this thing....pretty fucking racist.
Nah he's too busy parading his MILF around to even be bothered by that.

Racism, sexism. Im beginning to like this election season more and more!
Hey if she looked like a Madeline Albright she'd never have been picked.

Time to wrap yourself away in an old folks (fools) home.

The funny thing is, McCain is the opposite McCain that he was 4, even 8 years ago. The McCain that everyone knew. Obama has never really flipped on anything. His policy is one of considering the best approach at the time, and not "my way or the highway; desenters be damned!" Kind of refreshing, you know, to have someone in such a position of power actually consider various opinions, and an approach that would lead to the most feasible solutions.

Can't flip if you never politically existed prior to running for President.

despite his years (brief, yes) on the Senate, this pales in comparison to Palin, the political cypher.

Obama's experience is about on level as was Kennedy and Lincoln when they were elected.
It's an old, silly argument. And honestly, his short experience pretty much plays into his personae as new blood.

It's hilarious to watch McCain try to steal Obama's mantra of "change" and pervert it for hi own use. Grandpa was wheezing his favors around Washington practically before Obama was born

Bush, 2000: I think what we need to do is convince people who live in the lands they live in to build the nations. Maybe I'm missing something here. I mean, we're going to have kind of a nation building core from America? Absolutely not. Our military is meant to fight and win war. That's what it's meant to do. And when it gets overextended, morale drops. I strongly believe we need to have a military presence in the peninsula, not only to keep the peace in the peninsula, but to keep regional stability. And I strongly believe we need to keep a presence in NATO, but I'm going to be judicious as to how to use the military. It needs to be in our vital interest, the mission needs to be clear, and the extra strategy obvious.

Yes, fight and win wars. Not to do nation building. And we need it to be in our vital interest, with a clear mission, and an obvious exit strategy.
Bush, meet Bush. It's clear you've never met.

Both McCain and Obama are marketing "change" because that's the in-thing right now. It's clear by the low poll numbers that Americans don't like what's going on in Washington right now. Thus the big thing is "change." I doubt it will happen, because change invariably means causing hardship for some people. People who might make up large voting blocs. People who might control considerable amounts of wealth. People who might have considerable influence.
Both are more of the same. The question is, which "same" do you want: Democrat-brand Sameness or Republican-brand Sameness?

The same BS happens in product marketing. "New and Improved" might mean that they changed the packaging, or made an utterly trivial change to the product. "OMG, this toilet paper now comes with sepia-tone rolls instead of plain brown???? WOW!!!!!" New and improved.

Kennedy and Lincoln?

Obama = Palin. Except that Palin is for VP.

Biden = McCain. Except that McCain is for Pres.

We seem to have some flip flopping going on here... you could also call it, waffling...

Have we forgotten what that approach looks like?

how is it racist? it's referring to him waffling on the issues, pandering. isn't it?

That and it's actually playing to a comment Obama made on the campaign trail during the primaries. Obama was eating breakfast at a restaurant and a reporter was trying to ask him a question about Carter. Obama responded, "Why can't I just eat my waffle?" and then "Just let me eaty my waffle." link

I believe he meant experience wise. Which, if I remember, correctly Obama has more of versus JFK and Kennedy.
