The end of birth right citizenship for children born to illegals in this country has to be part of any meaningful solution.

Amen. I don't know why this isn't being brought up as the libs don't have an answer for if we do everything that they want and give amnesty AGAIN, what's to stop the next wave? (We also know already what a so-called secure border looks like and when the executive picks and chooses which laws he needs to follow) We will be doing amnesty every 30 years with exponential growth each time until we're all working at Mexico/China wages.

That's what's crazy about the President's rumored executive order that will give de facto amnesty to illegal's with kids born here.

It is never going anywhere, nor should it. You might as well stop complaining about it unless you are planning on changing the constitution. (Good luck)

Obama is the only adult in the room.
Fact is, we have millions of illegals that are not going anywhere. Period.
So why not give them a path and thus collect taxes from them because someone is hiring them, and paying them under the table, and thus no taxes.
Obama knows the illegals are not going anywhere, especially when republican (and democrat) business owners LOVE the cheap labor.
So... Give them a green card, or whatever, put them on the books, and collect the taxes.

But for senate and house republicans to think millions of illegals, now in this country and employed in this country, are somehow just going to go away?
And if for no other reason, I want to see Obama do the exec order and watch John Boehner's head explode. That in itself would be well worth it.

And this BS the day after republicans won so many elections, this BS that they would offer to work with Obama, we all know better than that.
They want Obama to work with them as long as working with them means grabbing his ankles and bending over.
Working together is not a word in their vocabulary.

So, go Obama go.
Bring on the exploding heads.
I'm excited !!!!

The ILLEGALS broke the law to get here and stay here and now you expect them to be upstanding citizens and to pay taxes? LOL.

The ILLEGALS have no skill, no English, nothing but minimal basic skill = minimum wages => net loss (benefits - taxes (if any) )for the US.

Yup, keep the smart LEGALS such as Elon Musk out and let the unskill ILLEGALS to come in hordes and hordes. Very smart there....NOT!!!!!

Did we try amnesty before? Yes we did several times before. Did it work? Nope, more ILLEGALS now than ever. And now you are advocating for more same old crap? Something about do the same thing and expect different result = stupid.

Goodness, talk about sheer stupidity....and you and people like you do vote. I weep for the future.

So why isn't the house voting on the bipartisan senate immigration bill?

Why are you being the obedient little Democrat mouthpiece?

First please do demonstrate you know what the difference is between congress not discussing a piece of legislation, and the presidency declaring law through executive action.

Lol! The senate passed the bill with 68 votes, this has nothing to do with dems but please continue showing us how fucking clueless you are on the topic, I enjoy the laughs!

As to your question, which I will answer even though you won't answer mine, the reason the legislation is important is because the president has said, send him a bill to deal with the problem and he won't have to use an executive order. So the question, once again, is, why hasn't the house brought up the senate bill? Hell, why hasn't the house proposed any bill?

Bonus info, because I know you are ignorant on the subject, past republican presidents have used executive orders unilaterally to grant immigrants amnesty so it's well within the presidents powers to do so. Would you like me to explain why and how a president can do this or are you smart enough to know that one of the presidents jobs and power is to enforce laws, prioritize laws when resources are limited and...wait for it...the ability to pardon.

I await your deflection just like any good obedient righty who is incapable of thinking for yourself.

Because the senate bill is flawed.

Because the senate bill depends on Obama enforcing new immigration laws, laws which he fails to enforce over and over and over again.

It would be stupid to give him everything he wants, when he will give you nothing you want.

But that's what democrats think is compromise these days. I take, you give.

Seriously? That's your answer? The "We don't like your version of that, but we're not going to provide an alternative." defense?

Ever think the House should have passed its own version and sent it to the Senate? Then work in committee to get a bill that'd pass both chambers? Like it used to work?

Whats your answer?

Have the dictator make up laws?

The senate didn't want to work with the house. It was the democrats way or the highway. Why work with people that wont compromise?
Why work with a president that doesn't enforce laws?

Start blaming your assholes in charge instead of always point fingers.

That's all the dems are doing.

And finally whats the rush?

Why does this have to be done before the end of the year?

Rush? He has been talking about this for years, got s bipartisan bill passed in the senate that the house sat on, etc.

I've noticed this is a fairly common GOP talking point these days. They try to paint everything as being rushed, even things that have literally been in the works for years. Bizarre.

So what? Why does anything about immigration need to be fixed right now? Because it buys him millions of new voters? Millions of new mouths to feed?

As the Secret Service started to remove other activists who shouted, “Stop deportations,” a visibly irritated Obama told them to stay.
“Actually, I don’t,” Obama replied. “If in fact I could pass all these laws without Congress, I would do so. But we’re also a nation of laws, that’s part of our tradition. The easy way out is to yell and pretend that I can do something by violating our laws, but what I’m proposing is the harder path which is to use our democratic process, to achieve the same goals… but it requires us lobbying and getting it done.”

By Obamas own words he will be violating the law.

Why? Because thats the easy thing to do.

Your ignorance on just about every subject is astounding! First off, just because the senate bill is flawed (and I'm sure you just pulled that out of your ass) doesn't mean the house can't take it up and make changes, in fact that's exactly how congress works!

Second, Obama will be in office for only two more years, so regardless of whether or not you think he will execute the law (nice right wing talking point, parrot), future presidents will have to, or I guess the senate could always impeach the president for failing to execute the law he said he would sign. I'm sure the president not executing the law he has been asking for will help the dems in 2016.

In closing, you are an idiot.

Btw, I keep attacking you because you are an idiot who refuses to educate yourself despite proving you wrong on every post.

Would you like to admit you didn't know how a bill becomes a law and you were unaware that the house could take up the senate bill and propose changes to the bill?

You face a problem. You are trying to get a person who feels like a puss sack to admit to being one, when he only acts like a puss sack because he feels like one, He doesn't know that his feeling like a puss sack makes him act like one such that realizing how he feels would also bring awareness of how he acts. You can't stop being a puss sack when you act like one but aren't really, until you are willing to admit that you feel like one. It's a bad place to be. You can only handle the condition by maintaining enormous ignorance of the self.

So if you can manage it, don't be too hard on him. We are all like that to varying degrees.

Then what the President is about to do will just exponentially increase illegal immigration, not decrease it as the next gen of border runners will now have 2 prior amnesty programs that were a win-win for them. So in other words there is no REAL long-term solution to illegal immigration that would be palatable to liberals...

'bama says his executive order would allow amnesty to parents of "dreamers", or in other words people who came illegally into the country to pop off a child, while also saying his move would exclude criminal offenders. Isn't that a huge contradiction?
