It just does not get any better than this.

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/201...ter-blaming-intel-community-for-missing-isis/

Obama was asked how the Islamic State was able to gain so much territory. "Our head of the intelligence community Jim Clapper has acknowledged that I think they underestimated what had been taking place in Syria," the president said.

There are accusations obama knew about isis up to 18 months ago, and refused to take action.

Rep. Peter King, R-N.Y., also questioned the president's comments on Monday. Speaking on MSNBC, he said he himself became aware of the threat in the summer of 2013. King said Obama "dropped the ball" and is trying to blame others.

Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., speaking on CNN, also said he's "puzzled" by some of the president's statements.

"The intelligence comments -- intelligence people are pushing back hard," McCain said. "We predicted this and watched it. It was like watching a train wreck and warning every step of the way that this was happening ... It is a direct result of our failure to leave a residual force behind."

In a previous thread we talked about the lack of foreign policy. Lets add the 18 months building up to this isis situation to the list.

How do you know obama is a liberal democrat? Because he refuses to take responsibility for his actions. It is always someone elses fault.

It's like having a teenager for a President.

Reached by The Daily Beast after Obama’s interview aired, one former senior Pentagon official who worked closely on the threat posed by Sunni jihadists in Syria and Iraq was flabbergasted. “Either the president doesn’t read the intelligence he’s getting or he’s bullshitting,” the former official said.
There's a third possibility. He's doing both.

Why is it Obamas responsibility to do something about IS? Haven't we learned yet that our actions in the middle east are useless? Let the arabs sort it out if they don't like it.

You should have said he threw him under the short bus. Since what passes for breaking news out of DC just keeps getting more and more retarded.

Are there any quotes from McCain or King in 2013 sounding warnings about ISIS? McCain, in particular, pulls a Chicken Little and demands we launch an offensive every time any random Middle Eastern guy sneezes. If ISIS' emerging risk was understood, surely he found a microphone somewhere. Otherwise, I'm inclined to suspect that this is merely another example of two of the RNC's most prolific anti-Obama attack dogs doing what they do best.

If only Obama and the folks who advise him on national security issues had a crystal ball like the one Nancy Reagan's fortune telling astrologer gazed into, along with the use of 20-20 hindsight that his detractors bash him over the head with, why, he'd be elected President for life now wouldn't he? Well, maybe that and if ran as a Repub from the get-go? ;)

You can't take someone's comments on intelligence matters seriously when that person picked Palin to be his VP. I'm sorry, you just can't.

Clapper said they underestimated ISIS two weeks ago in an interview with the Washington Post.

He already jumped under the bus.

The audacity of the Republicans is astonishing. Bush and his cronies got America to get into the Iraq mess, destroyed a country, created a lawless land, the result of which is these extremist groups. And they are blaming Obama for exercising caution? Wow, just wow. Talk about being utterly shameless.

This is a Texas hiker thread on this topic. Roll call for all the resident Islamophobes...please post in this thread.

He will shortly be creating yet another thread on women. Followed by yet another one on gays.

www/earlsblogcom.com

We contacted former military intel officer JY Sithstein and asked him his thoughts.
" Oy... nobody could see this coming, we think Hamas pulled a fast one on us, there's no doubt about it. If the Palestinians had their way there would be no Israel"

Another former senior intelligence officer was asked what our next move should be.
"Bush should never of listened to us in the first place"

Oh let me guess. Obama only learned about ISIS gains by turning on CNN?

ISIS probably learned of obama's intent to bomb them in Syria from CNN. Then they had plenty of time to move all their shit out of their known hideouts before the bombs fell.

Kind of like you and your GOP brothers and sisters living in that ever shrinking bubble where you keep blaming the fact that you lose all elections because of democrats. Trumping up voter fraud and black panthers preventing white folk from voting charges. When does it become YOUR fault you can't run a politician that can beat the very inept Obama or the electable Hillary?

Yuuuuup. its'a always someone else's fault (please learn to spell)

Helping any Muslim group is a problem. They are all terrorists in all those Muslim run Countries. They just practice different methods for killing Christians.

Former intelligence director for the Church of Latter Day Saints was quoted as saying

Obama doesn't need any help. He's leading us down a course to war. McCain pales in significance to what the one man who cannot effectively be opposed can do. He doesn't need Congress. He doesn't need you or me. All he needs to do is say "go". The rhetoric from war supporters McCain or otherwise will prevail. I consider Obama one of them. He just is taking his time, but the rhetoric he's providing has all the hallmarks of a very, very serious, involved and deadly conflict. This is starting to not feel like Bush's War so much as Johnson's. I'm not comforted by the R or D behind the name of any such person.

Whatever. You guys beat the hell out of Bush every chance you got. Criticized his every move, shopped pictures of him to make him look like a monkey, burned him in effigy, hung him in effigy, protested him in the streets and made every vile comment imaginable about him every single fucking chance you got. But that's the status quo. Tearing the President a new one has been and is a national pastime.

But no, no, no, not when Obama is in office! Why, why you guys are all a bunch of racists! You're just mean and spiteful and vengeful. You're all a bunch of haters! He's a wonderful man doing a very hard job to the very best of his ability. And so on and so on in a never ending sickening 'slobbering love affair'.

Cry me a fucking river.
