I'm not seeing any hypocrisy here. He talks about the need to regulate Wall St, and still accepts donations from Wall St. So what? They don't have to donate to him if they don't want to.

Unless he has no plans to introduce any significant regulations. Which would make him a HYPOCRITE

Obama continues to take millions from Wall Street and turns around and talks about regulating Wall Street. The host of the show (Morning Joe) criticizes Obama for taking us Americans to be fools.

Nothing is more unjust, however common, than to charge with hypocrisy him that expresses zeal for those virtues which he neglects to practice; since he may be sincerely convinced of the advantages of conquering his passions, without having yet obtained the victory, as a man may be confident of the advantages of a voyage, or a journey, without having courage or industry to undertake it, and may honestly recommend to others, those attempts which he neglects himself. - Samuel Johnson.

Standard dem practice.

Clamor for higher taxes, evade your own.

Claim you are for campaign finance reform rules, and Do whatever you can to avoid following them.

Scream about non-existent violence and racism from the opposition, and then refuse to condemn your own when they express it outright.

It's just more of the same righteous self-justifying logic the left follows. You can be a racist, violent, corrupt hypocrite, as long as you claim you are doing it to oppose those very things.

Right does exactly the same thing. Neither is better. /end thread

Doesn't Congress make Laws and if he was to come up with some regulations that would actually be feasible do you really think any Republicans would sign on to it???:confused:

Well, there's a difference between Ted Kennedy evading the estate tax he created and a conservative evading taxes. When conservatives evade taxes, I think that's good. However, liberals need to pay their fair share since they want everyone else to pay.

On topic though, Obama's not really a hypocrite (more of a liar) because a lot of regulations benefit wall street. The Federal Reserve is a regulation which benefits them. Taxes on gold benefit Wall Street.

He supports significant regulations and has already done a number of things to regulate "Wall Street".

But the reason I'm realy posting is to point out that criticizing anyone for supporting "Wall Street" is meaningless.

"Wall Street" is the American version of capitalism, which includes things like the ability for almost anyone to participate.

Talking in such vague ways has no meaning.

Speaking of vague statements...

If by "capitalism" you mean abuse the market by defrauding millions of people, then bend the rules to get away with it, and when your latest scheme backfires, transfer your losses onto the tax payer while collecting billions in bonuses, then yeah... Wall St is all about "capitalism"

And speaking of Obama, anyone who looked at his appointees after election (Larry Summers et al) should know just how much he wants to "regulate" Wall St

THE HYPOCRISY PARTY

I have a great idea….
Lets do away with ALL political parties and just start a new party THE HYPOCRISY PARTY !!!

Anyone can join… Everyone can qualify…

And just think of all the savings.
No more red or blue political poster signs. Just merge them all into a wine-ish kind of color.
And think of the office space we could save.
All that unnecessary paper work.
All those unnecessary seats in congress.

THE HYPOCRISY PARTY !!! WOW!

A candidate can say one thing in the morning, and say just the opposite that afternoon.

Say he is against same sex marriage one day … then marry his boyfriend the next.
Say he is a born again Christian married heterosexual of the religious right one minute … then get caught diddling some boy in the airport mens restroom the next.

AND WHO CARES…? WHY...?

Cause we are part of THE HYPOCRISY PARTY !!!

Say you are all for cutting taxes…THEN RAISE THEM.
Say you support enforced boarder control… THEN START A FREE BUS SERVICE BETWEEN MEXICO AND THE US FOR ILLEGAL ALIENS.
Say you are against all wars…THEN START ONE.
Say you are pro Israel… THEN NUKE THE HELL OUT OF EM.

AND WHO CARES…? Why...?

Cause we are part of THE HYPOCRISY PARTY !!!

No more nasty newspaper headlines!
No more embarrassing resignations!
No more accountability!
No more politicians crying into the camera.

Why...? Because... WHO CARES!!!!
We are part of THE HYPOCRISY PARTY !!!

Finally… a political party, and the only political party, that we can all be unified as one.
No more debates. No more disagreements. No more Fox news or MSNBC or CNN.

Because… WHO CARES!!!!
We are ONE… WE are UNITED. We "are" THE HYPOCRISY PARTY !!! :D

Could you provide a link on the estate tax legislation Senator Kennedy introduced? Or in your words created.

Do tell how the FED benefits wall street specifically.
