You'd only be partially correct. It took the Iraq war approximately four years to equal Obama's single "stimulus package," in terms of spending. Bush's spending was certainly out of control, but Obama is now setting records with his own... and you ain't seen nothin' yet!

Obama may spend or allot more money during his first two years in office than Bush managed to blow in eight...

It's interesting, I don't hear any complaining about the $288B in tax relief or the $144B to keep states and counties out of bankruptcy. The amount of actual stimulus spending is roughly equivalent to Bush's two rounds of stimulus checks. How about that?

I'd like to see a link to that. The last polls conducted right before it passing showed about a 37-42% approval rating for the stimulus.

That 64% represents 34% who strongly support the bill and 30% who are somewhat supportive. What does "somewhat" mean? Sounds like somebody wavering to me. 34% strong support nearly lines up with the rasmussen poll of 37% which is more clear cut with approve or disapprove. No middle ground.

yea I think that is sort of the point.. that they are plants. I mean I guess we could just have the first guy who makes it inside the office become commerce secretary but that would probably lead to a lot of injuries and who knows who we'd end up with
