The sooner our government stops looking at people as White, Black, Yellow, Brown, etc etc the quicker our population will.

Yes, how dare we afford opportunities to those who historically were completely denied even the option.

And as someone else said, what happened to states' rights? If Texas has this as their policy, why would you want to interfere with that?

I know at least the the House bill required medical schools to have quotas for "underrepresented minorities" (no Asians need apply etc). There were also provisions to create "health workers" who would go to homes and check on health concerns of "underrepresented minorities). No doubt one reason Obama doesn't mind MD's quitting is because he can just affirmatively create more. Rev Wright said he loves Obama like a son and we can see why.

I question whether this will oppress "overrepresented minorities" (Asians) and continue their disenfranchisement in the political process.

Personally I think affirmative action should be based on socioeconomic status. That's pretty much Obama's position as well.

Yeah just let colleges continue their policies of giving extra points to kids of rich white parental alumni

The 18-22 year olds going to college today were ever denied the option to go to college based on their race. It's time to stop this racial nonsense. It's the 21st Century.
