No surprise. Obama has clearly always been an establishment politician and was in the pocket of big business who is pro illegal immigration.

Yep, Obama's on the wrong side on this one. But lets be honest here, the law has been on the books since 2007 and went into effect 2008 and ZERO companies have been prosecuted under this law by the AZ AG.

how long has it been before the federal courts? it's already been decided on by the 9th circuit so it's been at least a couple years, i would think. no AG is going to enforce a law that is currently in the court system.

The 9th is the most liberal there is and they upheld it. Unanimously I believe. That should say just how backwards Obama is on this.

I don't know what the answer is. Our political system is too corrupt to be saved IMO. We can't trust anyone to do what they say they will or to act in accordance to the wishes of the people.

I think a great first step may be to dissolve both parties. Everyone needs to be an Independent. Impossible to obtain, and impossible to enforce I guess. I think we're doomed to fall and fall hard.

I think the coming financial apocalypse will be the trigger. It's being widely ignored, but it's coming and IMO can't be avoided.

We're as divided as we could be. I have friends I no longer communicate with because of politics. My wife has friends from her college days that she can't speak with anymore because of the political polarization between them. My mother at 82 has such strong political views that she's lost her longtime best friend. She can't afford to lose any more because the grim reaper is taking them out at an alarming rate already.

There is no mending these fences at this point IMO. The polarization is so deep, so entrenched that I see no way to pull out of it. We need a leader who has the ability, the charisma, to bring us back together and I don't see that person out there.

Lol you guys need new friends. My friends and I are as politically diverse as they come, doesn't matter for shit when it comes to our friendship.

Well, I guess theres no doubt now where Obama & Co stand on illegal immigration.
That would be correct.

The question is, what recourse is there against our elected officials who refuse to enforce federal law. That's the bottom line on this if you distill it down.

Likewise people want to regulate companies so they don't build shit that blows up and kills hundreds of people.

It seems to me that because of massive government, we spend hundreds of billions of dollars per year on people and products whose sole purpose is to blow shit up.

Unfortunately a lot of those who complain about Illegals have no problems hiring them to do their lawns to save money.

i will GLADLY pay an extra $10 to keep AMERICANS and LEGAL IMMIGRANTS employed while at the same time forcing ILLEGALS OUT.

BUT...... apparently consumers can't control businesses hiring illegals so we need government regulation to control that.

Aha! You played right into their plans. Illegal immigrants already are illegal, it's already the government's job to get rid of them. But they won't, because if they sit back and do nothing, people will say we need more regulation of something to get those darn illegal immigrants. So because the government refused to do their job, they got more power and more tax dollars. Guess what they're gonna do with more responsibility? Nothing! They're gonna sit back and say they don't have enough money and power, AGAIN. And people are going to back them because "something needs to be done!"

We just need to hold them accountable for their jobs and all that money that we pump into them. $600 hammers and $2000 toilet seats ahoy.
