The major substantive changes came Friday evening, after a State Department official expressed concerns about criticism from members of Congress, and Saturday morning, following the Deputies Committee meeting, where, according to internal Obama administration emails, officials further revised the talking points.

What’s clear is that the final version did not reflect the views of the top intelligence official on the ground in Benghazi, who had reported days earlier that the assault had been a terrorist attack conducted by jihadists with links to al Qaeda. ABC News.

You're as big or bigger of a partisan hack than anyone on this forum, one difference is you lie about it.
Of course, which is why I've criticized the Obama administration's handling of this from the beginning (as well as other policies and actions I disagree with). Still butt-hurt over getting owned so regularly I see. Take a Midol and call me in the morning. Meanwhile, I encourage you to save your limited intellectual horsepower for something more meaningful than pitiful personal attacks. Nobody here takes you seriously.

Toodles!

This is all just a waste of time anyways. Politicians can do whatever they like and never have to really answer for it.

If you actually read his posts, you'll see the source is credited at the end of every single one of them. In this case, it was ABC News, not The Weekly Standard.

Spin away...

Feel free to provide a link to ABC with that text. Google didn't offer one. The original story was from The Weekly Standard, though numerous sites reprinted it. Of course they all credited it to The Weekly Standard, rather than misrepresenting it as an ABC story.

Will there be anything else? Are you going to respond to the multiple posts challenging your claims, or are you still hiding from them?

You tell me to take a Midol (taken by women during that time of the month) and actually say "Toodles" and you think anyone in this forum takes you seriously?

Bratty teenage girls too. It seemed to fit your behavior, though you may need a greater dosage due to your size. You should probably consult your doctor first, just to be safe.

your obama made a series of dramatic failures in judgement resulting in the murder of four people and is now involved in a cold sweat cover up. Lets see where this goes. Get hillary back on the stand and release all classified doc's concerning the failures in judgement and the ongoing effort to obfuscate and confuse to maintain the cover up.

Sage advice for someone with your variety of issues I'd say. Having seen you get owned in thread after thread, I think PMS and general irritability wrt the vag is an understandable diagnosis.

I've been reading his posts for years. Comparing them to yours (or any of your butthurt sockpuppet friends) just makes me laugh. The right needs more posters like Bow, and a whole lot less posters like you (and incorruptatroll, IGBT, OP, etc)

Jesus, I mean never mind the heaps of straw, the heavy partisan lens you view everything through, or your lack of intellectual honesty, you can't even cough up a mediocre comeback!

The GOP is Clinton hunting with this whole thing. If they weren't, and the lives of our service people actually mattered to them, there would have been entirely different reactions regarding Iraq and the previous attacks/deaths at embassies and consulates.
Keep trying to put patriotic lip stick on that pig if you want, but you really aren't fooling anyone.

Where do you progs get your talking points from? You're all pretty much in lockstep. Somebody is doing your thinking for you. I'd just be interested to know who so I can get it right from the horse's mouth.

It’s a cliché, of course, but it really is true: in Washington, every scandal has a crime and a coverup. The ongoing debate about the attack on the United States facility in Benghazi where four Americans were killed, and the Obama Administration’s response to it, is no exception. For a long time, it seemed like the idea of a coverup was just a Republican obsession. But now there is something to it.

Even the NewfuckingYorker is making fun of you partisan butt monkeys and your defense of Obama/Hillary and this administration about Benghazi.

You're trying soooo hard, desperately hoping to make something -- anything -- stick in your sad little campaign to finally be right about something. If only your reading comprehension extended into at least middle school levels, you might have noticed that you missed again.

Compare the following to my post #746. It's from the middle of your link, the part you likely skipped because it just too damn many words:
[ ... ]
From the very beginning of the editing process, the talking points contained the erroneous assertion that the attack was “spontaneously inspired by the protests at the U.S. Embassy in Cairo and evolved.” That’s an important fact, because the right has always criticized the Administration based on the suggestion that the C.I.A. and the State Department, contrary to what they said, knew that the attack was not spontaneous and not an outgrowth of a demonstration. But everything else about the changes that were made is problematic. The initial draft revealed by Karl mentions “at least five other attacks against foreign interests in Benghazi” before the one in which four Americans were killed. That’s not in the final version. Nor is this: “[W]e do know that Islamic extremists with ties to al-Qa’ida participated in the attack.” That was replaced by the more tepid “There are indications that extremists participated in the violent demonstrations.” (Even if we accept the argument that State wanted to be sure that extremists were involved, and that they could be linked to Al Qaeda, before saying so with any level of certainty—which is reasonable and supported by evidence from Karl’s reporting—that doesn’t fully explain these changes away.)

Democrats will argue that the editing process wasn’t motivated by a desire to protect Obama’s record on fighting Al Qaeda in the run-up to the 2012 election. They have a point; based on what we’ve seen from Karl’s report, the process that went into creating and then changing the talking points seems to have been driven in large measure by two parts of the government—C.I.A. and State—trying to make sure the blame for the attacks and the failure to protect American personnel in Benghazi fell on the other guy.
That is largely the same thing I already said in 746. The accusations the Obama bashers have screeched the most have been refuted (at least based on the evidence so far). You nutters have once again been exposed as partisan fools. What remains are valid criticisms about bureaucratic infighting between the CIA and State. That's bad, but it's not scandalous, and it's not Obama & Rice lying.

The one new point raised is that WH Press Secretary Jay Carney lied about the extent of the edits. While I don't know if it was Carney personally lying, at a minimum someone in the administration gave misleading information for him to repeat. Whoever it was is playing semantics games, intending to deceive, and I agree it was a lie. The talking points were edited far more than the White House suggested.

Unbelievable, if Obama had sent more people in we would probably be talking about dozens of dead Americans instead of 4. I say let the Republicans go on their little witch hunt. This has to be the most partisan transparent faux umbrage I have ever seen out of them. They have filled a river or more full of American blood in response to 911 and now they are outraged by the death of 4..... yeah right. They do represent their constituents and the ones persuing this outrage live in far right districts which will reward them for their bad behavior.

There isn't a chance in the world of this going anywhere because the moderates and democrats see it for what it is. Don't give McCain a committee to investigate this. It is a blatant attempt on his part to stay relevant. This is what he wants so badly, a chance for more power. Actually that kind of describes all politicians......

PS. *After 8 years of Republican foreign policy (the most disastrous in American history since Vietnam), they lack ANY shred of credibility.. ANY at all. *WE would probably have Americans dying in Iran (or some other third world shit hole) by now with a Republican president. *We still are trying to extract ourselves from the wars that they couldn't finish in 7 friggin years.

Former Secretary of Defense Robert Gates forcefully defended the Obama administration on Sunday against charges that it did not do enough to prevent the tragedy in Benghazi, telling CBS' "Face the Nation" that some critics of the administration have a "cartoonish impression of military capabilities and military forces."

Gates, a Republican who was appointed by then-President George W. Bush in 2006 and agreed to stay through more than two years of President Obama's first term, repeatedly declined to criticize the policymakers who devised a response to the September 2012 attack on a U.S. diplomatic facility in Benghazi, Libya, that left four Americans dead, including the U.S. Ambassador to Libya, Chris Stevens.

"Frankly, had I been in the job at the time, I think my decisions would have been just as theirs were," said Gates, now the chancellor of the College of William and Mary.

"We don't have a ready force standing by in the Middle East, and so getting somebody there in a timely way would have been very difficult, if not impossible." he explained.

Suggestions that we could have flown a fighter jet over the attackers to "scare them with the noise or something," Gates said, ignored the "number of surface to air missiles that have disappeared from [former Libyan leader] Qaddafi's arsenals."

"I would not have approved sending an aircraft, a single aircraft, over Benghazi under those circumstances,"
he said.

so what do you think?? will biden pardon the obama and hillary??

No, I don't think Biden will pardon Obama and Hillary for the absolutely no illegal acts they took. Last time I checked you don't need a pardon for absolutely no illegal acts. If you'd like to continue with the adult part of this conversation though, you're welcome to drop the stupid questions. I also suggest normal punctuation and capitalization.

When the progs keep repeating the same shit over and over, and they start lashing out at anyone within arms reach, that's when you know they're getting worried. When they start sticking their chins up and declaring that everyone else is ignorant, when their talking points include correcting grammer and punctuation, you know they're really getting worried.

Benghazi, the IRS debacle and who knows what other scandals are lurking beneath the surface are all the fault of our second term President. The fault of Dear Leader. They are hung around his neck for all to see. We get to watch him squirm and wriggle frantically trying to get them to come off but it's not working.

You fight a Chicago style politician with Chicago style politics. It's great that we've got some members of Congress that are willing to fight down in the ditches. You fight those that use Alinsky tactics by preemptively using Alinsky tactics on them.

We're fighting a cold war in this country. A winner will emerge. The Dem's have no candidate besides Hillary. It's heartwarming to see Hillary being undermined so early. She brought it upon herself by following the orders Obama dished out. She's been stung by the scorpion. As the frog, she should have known who she was dealing with. Will the scorpion rescue the frog for the good of the party? Can he? Stay tuned.

I will say that it is nice for you partisan asshats to admit what the Benghazi farce is really about. As if it weren't obvious to every sane person from the very beginning.

Don't worry, dears, it will prevent Hillary Clinton from being elected just as much as it prevented Obama from getting elected. The same as all of your other "this will be the one that does him in!" scandals, and your faux outrage over every random bit of nonsense under the sun.

You people don't realize that elections are not won by spending years confirming to people already on your side that the other side is evil.

The funny thing is that I've never been completely convinced that she wants to run. But the more you guys foolishly prod her, the more likely she is to do it. And nobody will care about Benghazi except for the people on the radical right such as yourselves, who would never vote for her anyway. Heck, I don't even particularly like Clinton and at this point I'd be happy to see her run just so you guys can go "what happened?" in November 2016, just as you have two other recent Novembers.

I wonder if you've ever have a moment in not being garbage....
As best I can remember, in all the history of P&N he's only actually participated in a thread once, and even then only for two or three posts. The rest of the time he just drops by long enough in to plop off a turd he copied from some RNC-approved propaganda site, or some meaningless gibberish with signature terms like "eco-kooks". What he does not do is actually read the threads he posts in. Calling him useless would be an overstatement.

Dare to dream.

BTW, when did the RNC start lacing your Kool-Aid with hallucinogens? Does this mean they're looking to relax their public stance on drugs, or is it only for their internal use for their flock? It's clearly some potent stuff. You should probably back off a bit, not gulp it.
