unintentionally hilarious of course. sadly, conservatives actually take this nutjob seriously.

Actually it's you loony lefties who take these shock jocks like Beck and Rush more seriously than anybody.

What is the rationale behind the idea that the liberals or lefties are behind the exposure that Ms Palin, birthers, Mr Beck, etc get in the media?

Looks like even any unpolished conservative is smarter than libs who have heaped up knowledge but not only lack sense they reverse it so everything is backwards.

Thanks for the crazy foaming and ranting Barry, this thread needed you.

Their first urge is not to analyze substance, but resort to attacks. I can see why you'd say this, even in jest, because all that comes out of the left towards people who try to educate americans of our history is pure noise and hatred. Democrats are generally not interested in truth if it interferes with their bottom line. They'll use any means necessary, lies, cheating, and stealing to push their agenda. That's the nature of the people conservatives are dealing with at the top of the democrat party.

You dont hear Obama say anything positive of the US healthcare system. Truth in his message would undermine his agenda. It angers me so much the last few months but it's nice to see i'm not alone.

How is it that troll posts like this are accepted? He raised some legitimate concerns and all you can do is try (with miserable failure i might add) that his post was "crazy foaming and ranting".

Tell me one thing, how do you feel about what the Obama administration is doing to Honduras right now?

Basically what you are saying is that everything in the US is perfect and anyone who disagrees with that is "is pure noise and hatred".

Got it.

An Oligarchy (Greek ????a???a, Oligarkhía) is a form of government in which power effectively rests with a small elite segment of society distinguished by royal, wealth, intellectual, family, military or religious hegemony.

Why that sounds like our entire history and was really exemplified under Bush

As a conservative, I also have to say that :

Republicans are generally not interested in truth if it interferes with their bottom line. They'll use any means necessary, lies, cheating, and stealing to push their agenda. That's the nature of the people we are dealing with at the top of the Republican party.

It works both ways because both ways are so damned true. Our political system is near hopelessly corrupt, there is no longer a 'lesser evil', there's just this abomination.

Well to be fair, I took Duwelon's condemnation of the Democratic party and turned it on its head to reflect the reality of the modern GOP. I have classical conservative values, but sadly see them reflected very little in modern politics. I like Obama as a person, and think he is honestly trying his best, but am less enthused with our congress-critters of both (R) and (D) stripes.

I don't like the idea of warmongering, hyperpartisan, superspending, corrupt nonsense, and that's what I got from GWB/Cheney/GOP congress. I'm perfectly willing to see where 'O' takes us, but hope he can moderate the more fringe of his group. I want the JFK's and Eisenhower types back, not the LBJ's and Nixons.

The form of Oligarchy in this country is very clever, in most Oligarchies there is exterme restrictions on personal freedoms and a clampdown on communication and entertainment because the ruling elite fear an uprising or revolt against them, like is happening in Iran at the moment.

In the US we have an Oligarchy that evolved through corruption of a democratic system. This allows the elite class to claim they represent a democracy when they have infact eusurped demoracy and operate as an oligarchy. These elitist are currently working overtime waving old glory and claiming constitutional superiority and touting the benifiets of a "free market" democracy and having tea parties:) to try and convince the public that they are the true protectors of democracy.

The current UHC debacle is proof of our current Oligarchy, how else do you explain the fact that the public has spent the last two elections ousting conservatives and giving democrats a super majority with a mandate for UHC and by all accounts the very weak and watered down bills that are making their way though the house and senate have little chance of passing? I'll tell you how you explain it, our elected officials aren't in charge they are paid representatives of special interests. They get elected promising to represent the publics intrests, then go to Washington and do what the people who pay them tell them too.

Our government was bought long ago and I fear nothing short of revolution will seperate big money from politics, the best we can probably do is to be vigilant in attacking the money in the political equation. A good step in that regard would be serious campaign finance reform, but thats an obvious posion pill for any politican to attempt.

Stupid people outnumber all others. We are surrounded.

Think how dumb the average American is. Realize that 50% of the population is dumber than him.

I want to attribute this to George Carlin, but I may be wrong.

And this is why democracy doesn't work.

The fundamental flaw is that people are inherently stupid.

High numbers mean jack shit. How many people stop to see a wreck on the side of the road, it's morbid curiousity, that's all.
I do feel sorry for people who actually believe this idiot, and like others have said, I bet when the lights go off, the camera stops rolling, he lights up a winston and says, 'fuck, I can't believe people are buying into this shit' and subsequently gets in his limo and goes home.
