Until people are actually *interested* in their country again, things are just going to get worse. Look here at this forum of intelligent people, bickering over minutia. Calling each other idiots and posting and :roll: in some attempt to seem better than everyone. And there's always someone who tries to be the middleman who thinks he's smarter than the people on both sides of the argument.

But all in all, this is just mental masturbation. A waste of a few minutes or at best a part-time hobby. As long as we're taken care of well enough, we're happy enough to endure whatever we're given.

It won't be until people are actually driven to focus on important matters in their own government that any real change will occur. And I'm as guilty as anyone.
