Obama Gives Part of Arizona to Mexicans

Grow up. The land is still under U.S. control, and will always be under U.S. control. There are numerous places around this country that ordinary citizens are not allowed. This is just one more of them due to safety concerns.

The government closed a park and is just warning people not to travel through it. Big deal.

well now i guess you just cant understand the situation can you. here let me spell it out for you. the land is in our country like 80 miles north of Tucon but we as a country do not control it the gangs do. dont you see a problem with that?
 
They did not give the land to the Mexicans either. The U.S. is closing the park for the safety of our citizens until the area can be returned to a safe place.
 
When Mt. Saint Helens erupted the area around the volcano was closed off to U.S. citizens. We didn't give land to the volcano, just closed off access to take care of safety and cleanup efforts for a period of time. There were no headlines "Carter Gives Part of Washington to the Volcano"

closing off land due to a event like a volcano exploding is a whole lot different than closing off land due to armed thugs from another country staking it out.

Very much different things. I do hope the next move is to roll in federal forces and arrest the thugs, but I doubt it will happen.
 
You know what's funny? Seeing how easily those guys scaled the fence in contrast to American republicans constantly demanding more fences. Definition of insanity....
 
What we should do?

Send troops in and clear those stupid fuckers out of there. Now we're using appeasement, and this will lead to them taking more.

really. the US government needs to wake up and take control of the boarders. this is getting fucking silly.
 
When you close an area to Americans the border simply shifts from its southern boundary to its northern boundary. Nonetheless we'll have to see if Obama actually sends in armed forces to make this area safe again. If so, then this is a smart thing to do. If not, then yes, we've given that land to Mexico and established a new border to not guard.

And Republicans want a WALL, not more fences. Preferably a very large one with lots of troops defending it. Even better, TWO walls, with a mined DMZ between them to keep evil American gun runners from smuggling guns into peaceful Mexico. I hear that's a big problem down there, so we should man up and help them out.

And if you don't support my idea of two walls with troops and a mined DMZ between them then you are a racist bastard who wants Mexicans killed with illegal American guns simply because they aren't white and you, sir, are worse than Hitler. /Gutfield

The park was closed to US citizens because of safety concerns from Mexican drug cartels operating across the US border without restraint. The US government needs to find its balls and sent some Marines in to deal with this situation. Gloves off.

We can't keep turning a blind eye to an ever escalating problem.
