Yup. Not only did he force that whole debt ceiling fiasco in the first place. He then had the nerve to force the sequester agreement on everyone. By himself.

The POTUS should be making every effort possible to ease the pain not everything in his power to inflict as much pain as possible.

Obama refuses to govern, instead only wants to destroy the GOP the welfare of the Country be damned and is using the sequester to inflict maximum pain in order to blame the GOP and flip the house.

the longer the sequester goes on the worse obumma looks. people realize that the cuts are insignificant, but to fear monger so much pisses people off.

I'm pretty sure anytime any party has full control nothing but bad things happen. I'd like to see a Libertarian Senate, Democrat House and Republican POTUS though.

This is why the country is fucked. The gop is hell bent on destroying Obama at any cost, and Obama is hell bent on destroying the GOP at any cost. Nobody cares about actually leading the country.

They do care about leading the country, they just each believe that the only way to accomplish leadership is through single party control of the government.

How is Obama trying to destroy the GOP? Is he making them say they agree to something one day and then making them say they don't agree with that same thing the next day? Is he making them say ridiculous and factually incorrect statements about rape and pregnancy? Is Obama making them not compromise on anything for four + years? Is Obama the one forcing the GOP to cater to older white males and ignoring everyone else?

Obama isn't making the GOP look bad, the GOP is making the GOP look bad.

No, the GOP hell bent on trying to destroy Obama, but Obama is hell bent on trying to destroy the country. Anything the Republicans can do to oppose Obama and his supporters is a good thing.

I don't like Obama and I disagree with most of his policies, but I just don't see how one could reasonably conclude that he's simply trying to destroy the country.

Hey, the gop has done a great job making itself look bad, but Obama sure as hell isn't doing anything to lead either. He's just doing whatever he can to try and stick it to the gop.

This situation with the sequester is a prime example. No matter how it came about or who's to blame, a good leader would figure out how to minimize the impact to the people and the economy. Seems like Obama is trying to maximize impact to the people and the economy so he can use it as a hammer against the gop. That's not leadership.

lol, they shut down tours of the white house citing sequestration as the reason. I mean things must be pretty bad if they can't even keep tours of the white house going. Soooooooooo painful the spending cuts are they have to shutdown this minimally expensive, yet seemingly important government function.

But the 50 million dollar contract for uniforms for TSA, ya let that on through, just don't send out a presser on it... just make sure the tours of the white house being shut down is front page news... we said it would hurt now we have to prove so at all costs. Hey Michelle do you want to cut out your Million dollar spending sprees and grossly expensive fashion and travel tastes? "NOOOOOOOO", K, lets fire security at the washinton monument then that oughta teach these fools to try and cut spending.

Worst of politics and it's front and center at a time when we need anything but. Some appear hell bent on ensuring that they manipulate things as far as possible to ensure they get their way, damned letting things play out any other way.

There's a reason you don't negotiate with terrorists.

The Republicans are currently in a race to the bottom. If the Democrats take ownership of that problem by saying that they will overcome conservatism, the Republicans will just double-down on their stupidity until the Democrats can't win.
Regardless that Republicans act like children, they are not. Do not put Democrats into a parental role and ascribe the failings of Republicans to them. That you do shows that Obama is right to make clear the distinction: "These are not my children, and I will not cover for them."

I think people care a little more about whether the TSA agents groping them are wearing clothes than whether they're able to tour a house.
