Your right, any responsible POTUS should immediately go on national TV and try to incite more racial violence. I guess that would be the proper response.

I posted this yesterday in the Dallas thread. I posted his comments after the South Carolina shooting as contrast. I also invited anyone to identify a tangle because the motive appears to be consistent across all of the available media.

I'm willing to accept that the shooter was "demented" but why can't we accept this individual at their word, when we apply the same practice when the demographics are different?

There are certainly racist black people and radical muslims, but the point is there are more of what you might call the good ones. If this is still confusing, think of them as your counterparts in a different ethnicity, while most white people also shouldn't be discriminated against for the actions of some white people.

It's part of a pattern that repeats itself throughout our history so it's pretty easy to figure out. We've had that flavor of hateful rhetoric & action for hundreds of years. Thanks to social media, we now have more instantly available flavors of virulent hatred than ever before steering marginal personalities off the edge of sanity. And plenty of guns to go around.

I mean, you're talking some really nutty hateful stuff, ya know? Just imagine how it affects people who don't have their shit as together as you do. This guy in Dallas just fell victim to a different flavor of the same thing.

I just think it's weird that we can call a white guy who killed black people a white racist (and demand flags be banned for reasons), but the president dances around a black guy targeting white people (who inspired more black men to target more white people) as if there's an unclear motive when the police department in question spelled it out on live tv.

Of course there are more gubmint hating murricans, and certainly some of them are "right-wing sovereign citizen extremists" according to the DHS report last year which accused these extremists of carrying out "terror attacks" against the police. Now, perhaps I need to watch more brain rotting television but I don't think I've heard about these "terrorists" attempting to murder the police wholesale. Meanwhile, the New Black Panthers are on SPL's hate group list.

I guess I'm just wondering why it seems like our government has no problem naming "right wing terrorists" but runs in to "tangles" when a mass shooting that is arguably terrorism doesn't fit the bill. I'm just trying to figure out what possible reasonable purpose there could be for not simply saying the truth as it has already_been_published.

I think there have been several facts that have come out of the Orlando shooters motivation to at least for me know that he wasn't the right wing narrative of "ISIS is in America!!!". Specifically his conflicting statements to 911 and the fact that he was possibly someone attending the club regularly. With lone wolf attacks like these the motivations have to be looked at much like they looked at the motivation of the Movie Theater shooter during the Batman Premier, they can be complicated and not at all what was first perceived.

I am rather surprised you want to jump the gun on this declaration when even the NRA seems to have caution when calling things outs (well we know why they have that caution 😛).
