I doesn't matter about whether or not YOU think its rude for him not to go, this was obviously set up with the UK ahead of time and the Prime Minister agrees that having her former cohorts there to send her off is very respectful.

I have no emotional attachtment to Margaret Thatcher, I am not even familiar with what she's done...

The fact that you are going on and on about Obama "snubbing" her because he didn't go is quite silly...when is immediately obvious from the article that this arrangement was already settled between Obama's Admin and the Prime Minister.

I am deeply offended that Nancy Reagan did not attend. That is simply inexcusable, especially when you consider that Thatcher came over to pay homage to Ronald Reagan upon his death.

Margaret Thatcher not only aligned herself with a war criminal who PURPOSEFULLY murdered and tortured 10's of thousands of people, but when Spain tried to bring Pinochet to justice, she pressured them into releasing him and even visited him when he was in house arrest.
