No Obama, that is not what you said. How many hundreds (thousands?) of times did you say "if you like your current plan, you can keep it"? I don't recall him EVER saying "if it hasn't changed since the law was passed".

Lying to us is one thing. Trying to treat us like idiots and pretending you said something other than what you did is just absurd.

Since he changed the law 17 times AFTER it was passed, nearly forcing insurance companies to dump people on to Government healthcare.
His so stated goal all along.

I would like to congratulate the righties on here about something. You've finally found something that Obama said that isn't taken completely out of context in which you have full right to attack him and it not be stupid. Partisan stuff aside, why do we put up with this? As was stated above, all politicians do this. Its expected of them. Why isn't it a crime to lie to the American people? If I lie to a cop, that's a crime. If I lie to a judge, that's a crime. Why aren't these people held to even higher standards than we are?

When it hits them in the wallet directly and immediately, free trade was like a frog in a slowly boiling pot of water, healthcare is that water being splashed in your face immediately after it boils.

We not only accept politicians lying to us, we reward it and practically make it mandatory. Want to gain and keep power? Tell us what we want to hear.

Bullshit. One thing that pisses me off is that Obama NEW he was lying. There is proof and he was 100% in control of the situation. He alone could have changed this, and instead he lied about it to get it passed.

We hear this "logic" repeatedly from the progressive left. It's all based in the concept of "fairness" that has been burned into their brains. Their thought processes gobble it up because it can be used to justify any behavior. We've got posts in P&N this very day in which shit has been dredged up from the early 1800's and used in an attempt to counter what is happening today.

The worst part is that they've been taught this method of thinking means they're smart. They can't see that it is a sign of immaturity and that polite people just pretend they didn't hear what they just heard. This then makes them feel they're "winning". Fine, let them think that. Arguing with adolescent minds is seldom worth the effort. They feel they know it all and must learn from their mistakes. Unfortunately in this case they're dragging the whole nation into their maelstrom of idiocy.
