You're actually equating these loaded questions to the questions Palin received? Somehow, making inflammatory suggestions of Marxism vs. asking whether or not being able to "see" Russia equates to foreign policy experience, what newspapers you read, etc. don't seem equal.

And this has to be the worst interviewer I've ever seen. The woman has no personality whatsoever and it's like she's just reading down a list of questions on a teleprompter.

I took the trash down to the dumpsters yesterday and got into a conversation with the attendant about politics. He told me Obama was a communist. It's amazing what people can be lead to believe. I exited rather quickly rather than get into with him.

You know, Joe Biden didn't spew out any Marxist rhetoric did he?

Matter of fact - it's the wife of a Republican Operative thats spouting off Marxism isn't it?

Makes you wonder who's side these 'Commie Talking Conservatives' are on -
the one of One Party Dictatorship it appears.

Since when doesn't a reporter have an agenda? and why should she have to answer that question...she should be the one asking the questions.

Biden did very well answering the questions...but he comes off as a wuss by publically making these 'tough questions' an issue. People are concerned about redistribution of wealth and view it as socialism. The questions could have been a lot more tactful for sure. But the media doesn't always give you a fair shake...does it now? Just ask SP.

Biden didn't make it an issue- WFTV did that by releasing the campaign's letter to them, as did the rightwing echo chamber, of which the interviewer and her husband are clearly a part.

Witness the OP and the spin applied to the incident.

There really was no point in subjecting Biden's wife to the same sort of "gotcha!" drivel...

This might be the most misleading thread title ever. Biden comes off very well in the interview, despite the fact that the interviewer is clearly a hack with an agenda.

If you think asking which newspapers one reads is a tough question then you are a bigger moron than I thought.

Actually, people are NOT concerned... That is just the new talking point of the week. McCain just voted to nationalize the banks and is planning to buy up $300 billion in mortgages... Yet we should worry about Obama being a socialist? Get a clue.

Seems like a valid question with the accusations of a liberal media. I assumed you'd have heard these.

I am tired of the Marxist and socialist bullshit that people keep trying to claim. Raising taxes on the rich just a bit beyond what it was like before Bush got into office is not communism or socialism by any means. You didn't hear people making these kinds of claims before so I see no reason why they feel justified making them now. None of these asshats has a clue what true socialism and communism actually consists of. If they did then they would realize how ludicrous it is to make such a claim.

It is all nothing more than an attempt to drive fear into Americans in order to get them to support and vote a certain way. "Socialism" is to McCain and his supporters as "Terrorism" was to Bush and his supporters. Don't let pointless fear overwhelm your logic. Don't make the same mistake again just because it looks and sounds a little different. It is all the same fear.

You're right about her having an agenda:

On October 23, 2008, news anchor Barbara West, interviewed Joe Biden, VP Democratic candidate for the United States Presidency asking questions about Obama's affiliation with ACORN and Voter Registration fraud, comparing Obama's response to an earlier question from Ohio voter "Joe the plumber" to a quote from Karl Marx, and suggesting that Obama wants to turn the U.S. "into a socialist country much like Sweden."

The Obama campaign responded by canceling a subsequent interview with the candidate's wife, Jill Biden. The campaign's official statement was, "This cancellation is non-negotiable, and further opportunities for your station to interview with this campaign are unlikely, at best for the duration of the remaining days until the election" [5]

Barbara West is married to Republican strategist Wade West.[6] Wade West is "a popular consultant for political candidates ranging from local elections, to more than 85 members of Congress and members of the President?s cabinet."[7] In addition, West has made multiple campaign contributions to the Republican Party.[8]

Who da thunk it?

It's sick and Anti-American.

Orlandans and Americans should demand these people be fired immediately and take our airwaves back from these America haters.
Yep. Although I don't know if I would call them "America haters."

The people are also retarded to view it as some form of socialism that is threatening America. It would be really nice if McCain would stop playing this card and educate America just a little bit instead of abusing the idea behind fearing the unknown to drive more votes his direction. Sound familiar?

If by "people" you mean the far right of the Republican machine, then I would say you might be correct.
As for the rest of the population, most see this for the "Red Under The Bed" desperate scare campaign it truly is and aren't very interested (or the story would have had more traction...).

Dude...you said people are not concerned about the redistribution of wealth and socailism...you're wrong on this...regardless of whether you happen to think they're retarded or not. I understand that you don't like McCain...but I wasn't talking about him now was I? It's interesting that you put the onus on McCain to 'educate' the voters on this issue. And I'm the clueless one...wow.

Basically. All this BS about "wealth redistribution" is hilarious since Bush had previously redistributed wealth to the rich. Every president is going to "redistribute wealth".
