The way to bring America back, is not more spending.

It's less spending and less taxes.

-John

Quoting yourself? LOL! :p

I would like less taxes too. Always brings the best out of the economy....just look at the 2000's!

Obama, your President, wants more spending, which of course equals, more taxes.

Need to cut spending terribly. I don't know about more taxes though....who was the last president to raise taxes? Hell, they all have raised spending to crazy levels while cutting more and more taxes.

Not to mention, money he doesn't have!

-John

And just when did that stop either side from spending?

Weres the jobs that he already promised. if they would stop using out of spec materials and crooked government inspectors our infrastructure wouldn't be in such a state, Than the timing shows purely this is a political move . We as a nation are so screwed up . Normal men on a job when they see illegal activity. All know what the specs are or should . When job goes out of spec turn the crooks in . I did I lost my job over it . But I did whats right. Hawk iron workers out of rochester MN. go out of spec all the time and the inspectors turn their eyes away for cash in hand Linsney consruction out of MN. Also goes way out of spec and get away with it. The county I live in even has the DNR turn its back on hassardious dumping and landfill into the ground water . HANG them all . The FDA is so corrupt the only to fix it is elminate the present FDA workers and replace with honest americans. I can prove ever thing above I am smart enough to get the proof when needed 1 pic is worth a 1000 words.

Wait, I thought we already passed a massive spending bill to improve our infrastructure? Have we spent all of the money allocated to that measure yet? Hmm, oh well, can always print more money and borrow.

The .gov collected revenue that is around average for part of the 2000's then it dipped a bit below average (after 9/11) and last year (and projected this year) well below average. So what exactly is your point?

I'm saying that cutting taxes brought forth a roaring economy during the 2000's, did it not? Of course, the fundamental problem isn't taxes or cutting them, it's shipping jobs, real paying jobs, out of the country. But of course, nothing that a good ole tax cut, especially for those at the top, won't fix. Look how it fixed the last decade.

Its not cutting taxes. Its cutting spending. Cutting regulation. And overall reducing the cost of doing business in the US.

You could cut taxes to zero and regulation to zero and still couldn't compete with countries like China, who has wages so damn low that it's not even funny. Throw in the fact that they manipulate their currency to keep their wages artificially low and there you have it.

There should be strings attached to cutting taxes such as cut if you create a job here. Otherwise, you're pissing in a hurricane.

As for cutting spending, I've been preaching it for years but nobody does it. Nobody.

Exactly we don't need road work we need factories so we don't send all our $$$ to china. What obama is purposing is short term work for overpaid workers.

I'm not going to disagree that short term projects is a panacea for the US economy. But what is? Surely, you're not advocating the government spend money on factories? Cutting taxes didn't help the factory situation in the US. Like I said, we're doomed at this point (unless we go to war with China or the likes).

Gotta lurv the sour grapes from the Righties. When Dubya went to war and cut taxes to pay for it, they cheered. We've pounded ~$1T down the rathole of Iraq, and what we'll get for it is... dead people, and maimed people we'll necessarily need to care for the rest of their lives... and what else, exactly?

At least with infrastructure, we'll get something. You guys need to get out of the basement more often to see the infrastructure projects already under way with stimulus money... well, if some of you are old enough to drive.

Union Labor- uhh-wah! Nevermind that they're the guys who have the skills to do the job...

Well to be honest . I see no way out of this no matter what government does . What happened in Russia this year and why . China Pakistan and many other asian countries,

Do ya know the cause . Wouldn't have anything with the Gulf stream stopping would it . England should enjoy Moscow type weather this winter . That be so cool as their water mains are like 2 feet under ground . Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of ass wipes.
