After all the bullshit DEA raids on medical dispenseries during the Bush admin years, this is a welcome change... saves tax money AND raises tax money as well. We should all celebrate.

This is a step in the right direction IMO, but I think it will be many years before marijuana is legalized for recreational use. Even in a state like CA I don't think it has much of a chance, but who knows.

:D Damn it that was nice to read. I could get used to this 'following through on campaign pledges' thing! So much nicer than having a new admin that ignores previous promises, or in many cases actually does the opposite in a methodical and calculated manner. *cough*

Obama is eloquently (again) drawing a clear line as to the difference in how this White House is running things. Awesome.

Here's hoping Obama can stick to this principle on other issues. :beer:
