Obama and states rights: Weed basically legal in 13 states

This is a step in the right direction IMO, but I think it will be many years before marijuana is legalized for recreational use. Even in a state like CA I don't think it has much of a chance, but who knows.

?The president believes that federal resources should not be used to circumvent state laws.?

😀 Damn it that was nice to read. I could get used to this 'following through on campaign pledges' thing! So much nicer than having a new admin that ignores previous promises, or in many cases actually does the opposite in a methodical and calculated manner. *cough*

Obama is eloquently (again) drawing a clear line as to the difference in how this White House is running things. Awesome.

Here's hoping Obama can stick to this principle on other issues.

So much for GOP rhetoric about respecting states rights.

gop only cares about states rights when it comes to being about to use it as a guise for discrimination and oppression
