I take it you never read the book and are doing your usual partisan uniformed opinion. I have read it-long before he became President and I challenge you (or any other dittoheads/Faux Newies) to actually read the book, but while doing so put it out of your mind who the author is.

I've read more than I wish to admit of celebrity autobiographies and politician's books, and this book (along with Sammy Davis, Jr's autobiography) is one of the very best. It's a very good study of what fatherhood is and what it means-from someone whose father was a self-involved POS and abandoned his son. This book is far, far from the usual empty fluff that politicians crank out as "books."

BTW eating dogs is extremely common in parts of Asia, as I'm sure OP knows, and the quoted part from Obama certainly doesn't indicate that he relished it.
