Ironic that the OP also messed up by using a similar sounding word that has a very different meaning

Mr. Molehill, meet Mr. Mountain. I can't decide if the news starved press that are experts at embellishing and cleverly distorting non-news into banner headlines or our very own and well regarded resident sour grape neocons are better at it.

Either way, grasping at straws have now become, in these Obama years, a unique form of hedonistic catharsis for those that are attempting to derail the Dem juggernaut that they themselves have created by being exactly the way they are. Call it Fate, or Inevitability, it had to happen this way.

Justice delayed is still justice done.

Please don't "Troll" Obama is a historic figure he is our 1st black president and he has better thing to do than proof anything, just because he doesn't know his head from his ass doesn't mean anything besides that Obama is too busy tearing down our economic structure to have a dialogue with anyone.

Grasping at straws to be a partisan hack is nothing new or unique. It sure didn't suddenly start when Obama came into office.

If you really wanted to see someone who doesn't know their head from their ass, you need only look in a mirror.

But otherwise, stupid mistake for HC. So she worked 'hard' on this?

Having worked in other countries myself and having to deal with translation matters, this is an embarrassingly stupid mistake and one that screams incompetence.

And yes, it is somewhat important. 'Protocols' and the like are more important in the State Department than anywhere else.

Edit: Should have mentioned the other gaffe - we have more experience etc with 'democracy' than any European country? That's another blunder insulting to our counterparts and reveals either undisciplined speech (she really knew better but slipped) or a woeful grasp of history (especially Western Civ).

Doesn't that translate into "I'm a pastry"?

I'm sure the person who was responsible for the translation got his/her head handed to them for that error.

-snip-

Yeah, that's pretty much the (disputed) claim.

Personally, I found German to be the most difficult language to try to speak/understand. But even if it was incorrect, it's still damned close and completely understandable (comprehension-wise) to a German audience. More of an idiomatic issue than a 'wrong word' thing.
