Irony, thigh siren call is herd.![]()
Yes, that part is probably valid. But a post calling people stupid demands at the least correct spelling and grammar.Hahaha But I agree with his post. Not about stupid but people are more susceptible to images and emotion rather than logic and text.
Irony, thigh siren call is herd.![]()
As expected... lol some how they think that that somehow matters. Here's a hint it doesn't. Just like those who try to "catch" someone saying something that they don't actually mean. Then think they are saying something that has some sort of barring on there arguemnt.
You just gave him more ammo.![]()
This is why you won't see him change course or move to the center. It's just not in him to do so. He's a true believer.
Oh..Oh.. Oh.. I see it coming.. Someones going to use the "upity" word...
His message during the presidential election was one of cooperation, compromise and bipartisanship amongst responsible adults but the Republicans would have none of this and are happier throwing tantrums and trying to block everything.
Let me translate polispeak for you.
"Cooperation, compromise and bipartisanship" means "We have the White House and all of Congress. You can either go along with us or we'll ram it through anyway".
There was never any intention of the Democrats doing anything other than what they wanted. For their part the Reps would have done the same thing.
Bipartisanship means that the minority is perfectly free to do whatever the majority tells them to do. Anything else is throwing tantrums.
That's not fair at all. Take, for example, Dems' confirmation of GWB's judicial nominees. At the time that Repubs threatened the nuclear option, they'd confirmed 195 or so, denied 8. Appointments to other posts proceeded along much the same lines.
Today, if Obama tried to appoint a dogcatcher, repubs would put a hold on it, then filibuster if it got past the hold. The most routine appointments, ones that won't outlast the Obama presidency, are being denied. Repubs' record is spiteful and abysmal, and anybody not blind in a totally partisan way can easily recognize it.
It's a matter of priorities and that the Reps are more fragmented than the Dems. To be fair the Reps have that particular knack for being dumb about a lot of things, but if the Dems want something they won't compromise on it either. The Reps have been trying to find a voice since Ron R left office. They're clueless.
Beg your pardon, but that's inane. Republicans politicians are famous for their solidarity, and their voting record indicates them lock-stepping on almost everything for a very long time. If anything, they've been purging their ranks of any sort of dissidents for the last 30 years. If it weren't for the two Maine Senators, Dems wouldn't have anybody to compromise with.
As for Dems and compromise, they compromised healthcare reform into basically what repubs offered back in 1993, compromised on financial reform, and ultimately compromised enough back in 2005 to avoid the nuclear option by Frist's republicans.
Republicans have executed a ratchet maneuver over and over again. when dems compromise, they take it. when things go the other way, they obstruct until they can regain control or get dems to compromise again.
Haven't found their voice? Puh-leeze. The most radical elements in the party certainly have, and are now leading the charge.
Coming up next- endless witch hunts on the part of HOR republicans.
Really? Seriously? You think it's because you didn't communicate the message or agenda well enough? After all the polls showing dissatisfaction with your policies, what you and congress were doing, that the American people simply don't want what you're pushing? Nah, that couldn't be it.
This guy really does think we're too stupid to understand. It simply doesn't enter his mind that the people have been paying close attention to him and his policies and simply reject them. He just doesn't get it.

Yea, his rolling over and playing dead version of politics worked out great for the Democrats. Now, he's going to go at it full steam ahead.
The problem is that democrats since the Bush-Kerry election haven't gotten the message. They underestimate the propaganda machine and it has cost them too many times.
You mean Faux Noise?
