I also got the A-Wires for $79.99. Amazing price for sunglasses that aren't normally discounted even online!

BTW, the straight jacket is also unavailable.

Darn, I LOVE my A-Wires I got 4 years ago for $155. They're a little scratched up and I'd replace them in a second for $79.99, but that blue pair just isn't my color and it doesn't appear you can change colors on these...

CK

EDIT: These are the ones I have... I'm such a nerd, guess my favorite X-man. :p

So while reading the description I saw this line:

"Tagged with true metal icons, this bulldog of art and technology can be augmented with polarized lenses or IRIDIUM® lens coating for precisely tuned transmission. Prescription ready."

So I guess that this means that these don't have polarized lenses???

what's the big deal about polarization? Oakley lenses are among the very best. :p

Looks like A-wire is still available . . . great deal if you like 'blue'. ;)

Tempted to do the A-Wires, but I don't think I will. I've got the "original" A-Wires in black/black and I really like them.... I don't really care for the styling tweaks on the 2.0's.

reduces glare. i'd say you're only getting half a pair of sunglasses if you don't get polarization.

If you don't mind spending $9 more ($55) you can get the camo-framed pair on sierra trading post. A little hipper-looking frame but personally these were too big for my face. (these are taller than the Minutes, more M-Frameish in size)

i'd say you are at least half-wrong. :p

Polarized lenses are often found on relatively cheap sunglasses. With 0akley's awesome lenses you are getting 100% protection and very little glare. i had a pair of the first A-wires. Very good even for being out on/by the water all day.

I had a pair of the old A-Wires in the 99-01 timeframe and I've owned a pair of A-Wire 2.0 since 2002 or so. Believe it or not, I managed to accidentally run the first pair over with my car while they were in the soft case. Stupid, freak accident - I must have dropped them & they rolled under my car while loading it up to go back to college. My mom said as I pulled out of the parking space she just heard a crunch... RIP old A-Wires. :(

I wouldn't BS you and pretend to remember the exact differences between the 1.0 and the 2.0, but I will say that both have felt comfortable on my face while I've owned them. If my current pair broke, I wouldn't hesitate to get another pair of A-Wire 2.0's if that's all they offered.
