O.C with MAX mem--3g or 4g?

I am new to this o.c. stuff but it seems that mem limits o.c ability of a mobo (stability!) Is there a setup that o.c.s with a full rack of mem? 3g or 4g.
 
The more RAM you install, the more stressed the memory controller will be. It seems like anything above 2x512 will limit your overclock significantly. You gotta sacrifice one for the other.
