Are there any negative effects to the pci slots when O/C the processor. I'm looking at using a raid pci card and I also want to o/c a 1.6a to whatever she'll give me. Also which asus board will actually be able to give me the best performance, the p4s333 or the 266 type board? I plan on using pc2700 memory, is that a good idea?

Thanks,
KK

well as to what motherboard to get I am unsure seeing as I am trapped back in the p3 era.... overclocking will also raise the pci clock speed.... but I wouldnt be too worried all my pci cards can handle my fsb of 155 without problems.... I guess there is the possibility of damaging them but I wouldnt be too worried man

It is impossible to predict how your expansion cards will react to overclocking. Most should handle at least 150MHz FSB but you simply cannot predict that for certain. If that concerns you get the P4B266 and use its Turbo1 function in BIOS to lock the PCI/AGP settings independent of FSB.
