NZXT Gamma Case question (front intake)?

Everywhere says you can install a front intake fan, however there's a hard drive cage blocking the front. Does anyone have this case and know how to install the front intake fan? Can't find it in their not very specific manual.

It does state 1x120mm fan as front intake which most likely sits in front of the HDD cage.

Would most likely need the case in hand to figure out how it's installed. Could be inside the case and also it could
go under the front cover.

Yeah, I figured maybe the HDD cage would be removed but I tried looking at the bottom (under the case) but there weren't any screws to remove it. And under the front cover is just a basic mesh like thing, so it doesn't appear to go there. It's really weird, no mentions of how in the instructions.

Figured it out, the front panel does come off, except the case maker put the screws slots wrong so the HDD cage covers the screw slots, side panel it is.

And apparently neither the case or motherboard came with screws/spacers so I'm screwed there too, wish I knew how the case got 5 of 5 eggs.

Guess you figured it out while I was looking for a photo for you. There should have been a box in the case with screws and HDD rails as far as I can tell from images. Wasn't anything included? Looking at the images on newegg it looks like it's suppost to also include 4 longer silver screws most likely to mount the front fan. Might wanna contact the vendor you got the case from to see what can be done. Without the MB standoffs not much you can do as far as the build goes.

Yeah, I found the screws afterwards, in the HDD cage box. Not sure how those long screws would have fit though, unless it's suppose to go through the first hole and into the second hole into the case, as the fan suggested screwing it in backwards which was blocked. I just put it on the side of the case for now, since there's 4 other fan slots, I guess it's not a huge deal if it isn't on the front - right?

Not sure but it looked like you'd mount the fan from the outside once the cover is off. Using the long screws thru the fan and screwing them into the holes you said are blocked from the HDD cage. Adding a front intake fan would help keep your HDD's cooler and possibly help a little bit on your gpu depending on the cooler style it uses.

Good luck and have fun on your build. Take a little xtra time for some cable management as a tidy case is easier to work on later if needed

Yeah, the cable management thing is something new to me, I see slots to push it behind the tray, but do I just leave the cords I'm using in front? ie the cords from the front panel



I see the three long slots along the outer parts of the tray, those are to hide the cords behind the tray for management, but what are the little slots for towards the middle of the tray?

The three large slots work good for power supply cords. If you route the cords from the power supply thru lower slot then you can strap them down to the back of the motherboard tray. What you call the little slots look to be points to secure cables with something like zipties. As far as the the front panel cords I'd run them behind the motherboard tray and out the bottom slot to the motherboards connector. Taking your time and doing a clean build is much better than just slapping it together with wires everywhere
