At my university's library, it was impossible to pull this stunt. First of all, the library was small and they do a full security sweep of each floor before locking up the library. What a great adventure it must have been though ...

I wouldn't let a guy stay indefinatly in my place if I'm paying rent and he isn't.
I'd let him crash for a few nights, but not take up residence for 8 months. If he got 31k together, he could have gotten a wee bit more.
I could charge ultra-low rent, but I wouldn't let him do it free.
Although he works four jobs and has several student loans, Stanzak said he received no financial assistance from his family and had only enough money to cover tuition, about $31,000 a year for full-time undergraduates.

Hopefully it works out for him, they got him a "free" dorm room I'm sure because of the publicity. Just goes to show you opportunity is fading fast in America. Things like College only for the richest.

yeah i think tuition last yr (when i was considering going into the 8yr ba-md program) was only 28K i think. nyu charges an arm and a leg for their education, but i personally dont think CAS (college of arts and science) is worth that price tag (stern, tisch, and film tho...)
