why is this even a story. do you think the average person in america doesnt give more than $50 a year to charity. the only reason this is a story is because its a cop and it would have been more typical for him to beat that homeless guy over the head than to do this. i wouldnt even be surprised if this turns out to have been staged by the police department. you notice they homeless guy cant be found now?

You're so full of shit. There are some bad cop stories out there, but if you look at the number of "bad" cops vs. how many officers there are working every day across the country, their "bad" behavior is lower than the non cops.
Cops are going to snap, they deal with the absolute worst society has to offer, and it doesn't matter who you are, it's going to get to you.

I love the part where a woman came forward and said she bought him some shoes last year too. He sells them because pathetic shoeless panhandlers get more money than well dressed panhandlers.

This is why I never give money directly to homeless people. Give it to the charities that feed them and house them instead. Fuckers on the street are the biggest scammers around.
