NYPD force women to undress while handcuffed and sexually assault her

Key quote:

What in the flying fuck, they basically admitted that the cops had sex with her, there's no way it could be consensual when cops in uniform have so much power over you.

It isn't consensual since they are acting under authority of the law. This is without any doubt a rape case.

In the UK this would have been treated harsher than a violent rape by a civilian citizen but I have this feeling that the copper will get paid leave and nothing more.

I agree. Even if she did consent, she did so under duress. She was coerced by the "force" of authority.

Exactly and since she was under duress the legal definition of consent cannot apply at all. She literally cannot consent in that situation no matter what.

I'd say 5 years to reconsider their authority in general population would teach them that they do not have the authority to rape women with government protection. But as I said, this is a case of paid leave at most.

They allegedly threatened her with "3 hours at the precinct." I think I'd have gone with that option. Or did they take her to the precinct and do it there, during those 3 hours?

are you saying she wanted to suck average iq cock?

Also why are police officers having "consensual" sex with the same girl simultaneously whilst working? This seems crazy. It's clearly rape by coercion.

That may be true but I’m struggling to think of what new details would make this even remotely okay.

Agreed, I am just pointing out the article relied heavily on "claims" similar to Trump's "People are saying..."
Cops and Prostitutes have a long history of working together so to speak but honestly it could end up being completely false or completely true. I just don't know.

I'm trying to imagine a mitigating circumstance. Maybe the girl had a gun pointed to his head?

Ho-Lee-Fuk they admitted the cops had sex with her? But their defense was consensual? Slap on the wrist at best. And I am sure they will release her record. Because if you have a record then it is ok for the state to violate your rights.

That's simply ridiculous.
A cop can have consensual sex? Two cops can have unwitnessed consensual sex? With an 18 year old they had never met before whilst on duty in an unmarked car? After releasing her buddies and holding her back? She just spontaneously decided to give them both oral sex?

I dunno about you but I believe in both Occam's razor and hanlon's razor and I believe both are in play here. The reasonable hypothesis is that these are both a couple of bad cops who were stupid enough to think could get away with rape.

That's simply ridiculous.

It's true for anyone who isn't already the cop's partner.

Think about it. No matter how consensual the sex actually is, there will always be a veiled threat involved. Sleep with me or I can turn you in on bogus charges -- it doesn't matter if you get out the same day, just going to jail for a brief while is enough of a punishment. And it's difficult to tell if the non-officer in a case like this is genuinely consensual or just saying they agreed to avoid retaliation.

Also, as Gag pointed out, there's the possibility that criminals will use the promise of sex to avoid arrest. You can bang me if you let me off with a warning.

You see the problem? If you don't consider it illegal coercion, it's all too easy for both sides (but mainly the officers, since they have badges and guns) to abuse the situation.

Just spouses and partners? Why not good friends? Why not a close acquaintance? Why not a prostitute (in three states explicitly legal)? Why not anyone who isn't, subjectively speaking, coerced? You can't just assume coercion because of some possibly unrelated/non-relevant relative power disadvantage. Or shouldn't be able to. Show me where it's necessarily coercion by law in nyc and also explain why their superiors aren't aware of this.

What is the point of this retarded bullshit?

The authority comes with the badge and any sexual act they ask for while holding that authority can be presumed as coercion since there is a threat present even when not expressed.

In what states is it legal for a cop on duty to ask a prostitute to give him a blowjob?

They'll leak her record to smear and discredit her in the court of public opinion, but their own records of conduct are secret under NY law. It's quite preposterous. The lack of accountability at the NYPD is ridiculous.
