Nyko embiggens the Wii-mote

Heh - Nyko decided to increase the size of the buttons on their version of the Wii-mote. They also added a 'pistol grip' (not shown in the pic in the article) to help reach other buttons.

I've got a Nyko nun-chuk and Wing (their version of the classic controller). I really like the Wing controller and the nun-chuk is just fine. This Wand is just ugly though. 🙂

I hope it's cheaper than the standard Wiimote cus when my brother moved out with his gf, all my Wiimotes/nunchuks mysteriously dissapeared.

Kotaku has more pics of The Wand along with something I missed before. Currently, when the Wii-mote is attached to a peripheral it can't transmit or receive signals with the peripheral. Like vibration or button presses. The Wand can send and receive signals so attachments won't require that they manually press a button. The gun attachment Kotaku has pictures of shows a good example of this as the gun attachment has nothing touching the B button on the The Wand.

It'd be nice if the Nyko was as cromulent as the official Wii-mote.

I suggest avoision of Nyko products unless a specific product has gotten good reviews. Their batteries somehow make my Xbox 360 controller send random inputs to the system, and their PS3 controller with the concave analog sticks and concave analog triggers was not even close to the Sixaxis replacement that I was hoping it would be. It was like they had put it together and sold it without ever having someone try to play a game with it.

That's a pretty good feature, and something Nintendo should have done.

I got the Nyko rechargeable batter station and I haven't had the random input problem. Though that would be nice to blame on Forza 2 race night. 😉

I got the wired Wing controller and the nun-chuk for my Wii (both were in a bundle for $30 at Gamestop) and I love the Wing controller over the Nintendo Classic Controller.

The Nyko Perfect Shot is currently considered the best gun adapter for the Wii. Better than the Wii Zapper.

I have the Wing (wireless) controller as well, and its a lot more comfortable compared to the Classic.
