Best one yet .... really nice. Thanks for sharing. You're making me want to pick up a wider lens before I heard to Barcelona next week! I use a Fuji 23mm prime only (x1.5 crop factor). I may try to swap for a 16/35 combo.

Going from 24 to 15mm made a huge difference in the shots we were able to get. Bracketing interior shots would be another thing to look into if its not something you're familiar with

Great pix. It's the photographer, not the camera.

Thanks! The camera helps some ;)

I know about bracketing but I am surprised you're able to do it handheld -- I've never tried without a tripod but will definitely think about it in the future. I am assuming it depends a lot on how quickly the camera can take the shots. Your 5DIII is probably super fast ... I think my XT-1 can hit like 11 fps for a while so hopefully the bracketing function is also that quick.

Our 6D can also do it if that helps at all for frame of reference. I guess we had never considered that handheld wouldn't work when we were figuring out how to do it. Thinking more about it I am normally zoomed pretty far out inside. Since the guideline is 1 over the focal length that would be in the 1/15 -1/40 range for a lot of these pictures which makes hand held bracketing easier although I tried to keep it closer to 1/50 or 1/60 (Sometimes my hands aren't super steady). If we were zooming in it could get difficult but its pretty rare that we're zooming in more than 50mm inside. Outside its typically bright enough that we can keep the shutter speed down which would make 1/100 or faster an easy target for 105mm of zoom. We have a lens that goes farther than that but don't travel with it. Canon AEB in manual mode also only adjusts the shutter speed so we don't have to worry about changes in depth of field. Not sure how well that translates to anything other than the 6D or 5DIII. Hopefully pretty well since it has made things a lot easier.

Sounds like the camera is defective. You should send it back :)
