Any human from Jamaica, the countries of Africa, Poland, Italy, Cuba, Santo Domingo, Puerto Rico, Pakinstan, India, Trinidad, the Republics of Russia, etc that are in the United States ILLEGALLY whether that be on expired Visas, or just plain "snuck in the country."

BTW, that is about 95% of the non-native (not born in the United States) population of NYC.

Does that clarify it for you, Zim?

I grew up in the heart of "non English speaking NYC." You can't tell me shiit.

PSA: Not all immigrants are illegal, and if anyone "implied" as much in this thread their definition is wrong.

To "Werk", he does not have to identify himself because of someone's misconception.
I would have just minded my own business and not answered the OP because it probably
would have pissed me off. For all the OP knows, maybe he had limited English or was
just praying.

I'm not saying it was wrong to do that, but psychologically when people get nervous or scared
they believe in what is more convenient to or for them.

I'm just looking for an answer FuZoR, why the sad face?

I believe he was using a counter instead of beads to recite his prayers. You have to do it 100 times for one iteration and then 101 times for another iteration. The guy was resetting it once he was done a 100 times.

exactly...after what has happened in the last few years everyone should suspect some racial profiling...you see a black guy walking down the street in compton is it wrong to assume hes a crack dealer and throw him up against a cop car and immediatly start searching him down without his permission and without any other suspicion other than he is black...yeah...you see someone who "looks muslim" in a subway with a counter counting people who board and how long its stopped and how long it takes between stations and when confronted he offers no explanation and basically ignores you...is it wrong to at least report him...no...everyone give it up with the racial thing...its gonna happen...and im not going to apoligize for it, either...yes i know that 99.9% of muslims, arabs, middle easterners, whatever do nothing wrong and are respectable people...but its the .1 that we need to catch...and if a little bit of racial profiling helps us catch them...more power to us...better to offend a thousand people and save one life...imho

I meant if he was an MTA employee, not just some guy.

And I find it funny that MichaelD is off on a rant about immigrants in NYC, don't you live in Texas now, Mike?

Yeah, thank god there was no politically correct crap all over during WWII otherwise we wouldn't have been able to round up all those Japanese folks. I mean the people that attacked Pearl Harbor were Japanese after all. If you want me to pretend that they didn't suspect people because they were Japanese they didn't, but they apologize for it now.

Edit: Did want to add that reporting suspicious behavior is ok, but lets not pretend racial profiling is ok. It isn't. And if you think terrorist wouldn't try to use a white person next time to throw off the profilers you are probably wrong.

maybe the reason he didn't say anything is because he was holding other numbers in his head, and didn't want to forget or something.

You should have went up and whispered "jihad-jihad" in his ear.

if he was using a counter, he wasn't counting seconds, he was counting the number of people. it makes not sense for him to be counting seconds. he would have used the watch he had on him.
