Time Warner Cable customers experiencing Internet outage in Northeast

Some customers of Internet provider Time Warner Cable in New York City and elsewhere in the Northeast are experiencing a lengthy data outage, the company announced on one of its Twitter feeds Saturday.

The provider posted a notice of the outage for New York City customers to its Twitter help account Saturday morning and then expanded the notice to "northeast customers."

They've been having issues since Wednesday in different areas of Manhattan with their data and voice services. Upgrades to core equipment?

Edit: Appears to have been an issue with their Level 3 routes. Customers on other ISP's were experiencing the same.

Yeah, I noticed that Netflix was not working on one of my Roku-like devices in my home office this week. Sometimes it would work. Sometimes no. I thought it was the device and was going to upgrade the firmware today.
