Funny... where are all the Yankee fans? What's that sound I hear???? Is that Yankee fans hitting the street as they leap off the bandwagon?

i'm still here...we'll be back next year!
Yes with Beltran too.

No, I was implying that you actually do have next year to look forward to, you'll probably get Beltran.

Still a fan... just this year the Sox were a better team in four games 🙂.

Now the big question is whats going to happen to the roster for the Yanks?

Release Giambi?

I think we should definitely keep Olerud.

The Yankees losing is great for baseball. They were trying to buy championships, and their fans are bandwagon asses. Thank God Boston put them in their place.

So they shouldn't have tried as hard as they could, using whatever tools they had available to them? 😕 Your implied point about baseball needing a salary cap is valid, but blaming the Yankees because there isn't one is baffling. And I'm a bandwagon fan for growing up in NY in a family of Yankee fans? I'm even more 😕 now...

The Boston Red Sox have not won the series yet

🙁 Sucks. I was counting on you guys shutting down Boston so that the Toronto Maple Leafs don't end up becoming the shutted-outest team in major league sports.

there's still the Cubbies...

And don't forget Houston, who had never one a Playoff Series before this year..

I agree... Whats with people thinking that all Yankee fans are jumping the bandwagon... I was never a huge baseball fan, but when I watch baseball I'm def rooting for the yankees... Does that make me a bandwagon? Sure, why not... I mean I only grew up in NYC, and only took the train past yank stadium everyday to high school... hmmm... and the only place I've ever watched games are at yankee stadium...

All I can say to you Red Sox fans is that NY finally acknowledges the Rivalry... before it was just a cocky bunch of loosers from Boston... before this year... I never understood why Boston called it a rivalry? It was like the Knicks and the Bulls of the 90s... rivalry? Hardly... (and yes im a knicks fan)

🙂

Sad & disappointed of course - what was the deal with winning the first three?????? But hey, this team had problems all year long. It's amazing that they got as far as they did. Doh, pitching?? Helloooo!

Up until about the 2nd out of that 9th inning, there was still the REAL possibility that those idiots could pull out an amazing come-from-behind game. How many other teams could you say that about?

Yes with Beltran too.

You would think that a series like this would highlight the fact that the Yankees had no pitching. Why you would think that Beltran would solve the Yankees problems is beyond me.

The way I see it... its not a rivalry if one side always wins... (it's was my stab at the BoSox)... So the Sox won this year... NOW i consider it a rivalry... Its my opinion and I'm sticking to it!!😀

Very True, but Beltran is probably one of the best outfielders in the game right now, they would easily get rid of Bernie to make room for him... have you seen him in the NL Playoffs?
