I thought this would be helpful and interesting since the election is here and people are beginning to vote. You can see how the electoral votes have shifted, how the states match up, all that sort of thing. I think it's definitely worth checking out if you are interested in the nuts and bolts of the upcoming election.

that's pretty cool :thumbsup:. I find it curious that California swung from republican support for elections between 72-88, then swung to Democratic support in '92. interesting.

Yea I saw that and didnt realize that either. Also, I didnt know Cali had 55 EC votes, I thought it was 44. :p

there are more states that are solidly behind Bush than Kerry. Actually far more states.

the problem is none of the states besided tx is really worth anything. oh well it looks like by next election cal will be a battle ground state thanks to arnold

unfortunately the number of states doesn't matter. You have to have win the more populous states to achieve victory.
