AirBnB is being used by many people to run illegal hotels out of their apartment. No thanks - I don't need constant transients running through my apartment building.

And now you try to bring in the sales tax issue? You're already required to pay that under use tax laws. Sorry - services cost money. Don't like it, move somewhere else and/or vote for new officials.

What's wrong with collecting tax?

You can have problem with the govt spending or outrageous tax rate.

But what's wrong with collecting their due tax?

I'm a bit unclear on what your point is. Could you clarify? What is the problem with people paying their taxes?
