NY SPeeding ticket

What's the difference between criminal and noncriminal traffic violation in NY? My question is, are moving violations criminal, and nonmoving violations noncriminal?

Criminal? Moving violations add points to your license. I had 4 tickets in the past year, 2 parking and 2 moving. I didn't get criminally prosecuted, I just had to pay up the ass.

Nice job, yo! I'm 47 and have been driving since age 16. I just got my second moving ticket of my entire driving career. Went to traffic school so I still have zero points.

If you have an out of state plate the cops really lay into giving you tickets. My moving violations were 'blocking an intersection' and 'left of center.' Complete bullsh!t, I was going with the flow of traffic. He just didn't care, had to meet quota.

The quota thing has been debunked a zillion times. It's an urban legend.
