i gather you talking about buying a penthouse or such eh? i gather you just own that room in the building. but still have rules to fallow.

not that it matters. with recent USSC rullings you do not own the property anyway.

there are houses in nyc as well...townhouses on the UES, queens, bklyn...they're not all apartments in nyc...

Re: House. If it's "lease hold" then you are just buying the building. If it's "fee simple" then you are buying the house and the land. Your sales contract will tell you this. It will also declare the size of the lot.
