The country should not have to support someone. If he bought insurance and stuck with the rules then they should.
If not, then he dies.
But thats not how it works. In reality we would all pay for this vegetable for the next 40 years.

it's not fatal because there's no other traffic and they just slide into completely flat grass. No obstacles to run in to.
First, MotoGP race crashes are, for the most, controlled. Most of the time the riders simply push the bike away from themselves (if its there to push) and slide into the padded barrier, and get up and walk away. Which brings me to my 2nd comment...being strapped to a bike would INCREASE fatalities. The fact a 600-850 pound bike isnt rolling over you, or crushing you when you might hit a barrier, is what can save a life.
I suggest voting to change that.
It looks like you have accepted it though.
So no more medicaid? There are many reasons why this would be a horrible idea.
How about since we have to pay for everyone anyhow we go with a single payer system that drives costs down by removing the for profit insurance scheme and the bureaucracy and death panels set up by the industry? No? Not "American" enough? Don't want your freedom to die and be poor taken away? These are not the droids your looking for 🙂
Only that people fear the poor rising up against them.
America is a capitalist nation, if you want to be supported move.
Sure that too, and they would not be able to do so if they were wearing a seatbelt as someone mentioned.
Sorry if I was not clear, this is what I was getting at. Being belted in on a motorcycle is a recipe for increased fatalities.
I dont fear the poor rising up. Much easier to indoctrinate them into their current situation.
When I look around I see capitalism for you and me but not for others, and that my friend is not capitalism. I'm not talking about supporting people. I'm not talking about welfare. I'm talking about sensible policy to save us all money.
You realize welfare and the like was created out of that fear though right?
Keeping the poor happy/calm is a principal matter. Personally I'd just deal with them as they rise up with no quarter offered.
America is only capitalist to a point. See bankruptcy laws. Why should someone be allowed to be absolved of debt that they incurred? See limited liability laws. Why shouldn't someone lose their house because the business they owned or are a partner in screwed up?Only that people fear the poor rising up against them.

Maybe it's not a bad thing if we let people kill themselves from their own stupidity? My only concern is if this guy became a vegetable whether state would have had to pay for him.
Exactly.
IMO we shouldn't even need things like seatbelt and helmet laws. But unfortunately people are idiots and need laws to protect them from their own stupidity.

You're too stupid to realize that you're one of the subsidized poor.
Not sure what you mean, I fall above the top 20% in income though.

Why is it that most of those that are screaming for helmet laws and government to save us from ourselves, are the very same people that are screaming to legalize drugs?
The government that governs least, governs best. Freedom is a messy thing.
Made me laugh. But who wants Darwin Award winner organs? We don't need these laws. If your stupidity doesn't impact the rest of us, then it should be ok. If he had become a vegetable instead, the state should not be expected to foot his medical bills. Also, more organs for the rest of us.
Good point. In other places in the world, and in our times long past, people complained about serious political repression, torture, sedition laws, extreme renditioning. Nowadays we ride in protest of laws that require us to wear helmuts or face a small fine.
We have truly become a nation of self-centered infants.
And I fall above the top 10%. Do you see me coming here saying fuck the less fortunate and acting like I got money. I don't have money and since you make less than me, I know you don't have money either. Stop trying to act like you're one of the elites. You're just a worker like everyone else.
