They haven't beaten a really good team this year. But that's beside the point. I never said their fefnse was terrible, I said they are okay. But the Steelers passing game is more than okay, and I believe they are way better than the Jets' defense.

Right, let's just be clear here. The Steelers have the best rushing offense in the AFC, 2nd in the league and you want to push "Big Ben" on us with the 2nd worst passing offense in the AFC and 28th in the league. Have you even watched a Steelers game this year. They almost average the same yardage on the ground as they do in the air.

the yardage may be 28th in the league, but look at ben's completion percentage or passer rating, both are excellent.

the reason the yardage is so low is because they don't need to throw it. but they can air it out if they want to.

So they have a great passing offense, but don't use it because they don't need to? That's kind of silly. Don't you mean that thier running game is fantastic so the QB sees more single coverage? I mean you're talking about a guy with 21 sacks 6TDs/6INTs in the last 7 games including a 9/19 day with 2 picks and a 33.6 Ratings against these same Jets.

Pennington and Rothlisberger cancel each other out in my opinion and either one having a big day upsets the balance of this game that will likely be an ugly ass brawl. Top rushing offenses and top run stopping defenses should be the story here. But of course, that's why they play the games...

I almost forgot. I will be rooting for the Jets, but I think Pennington needs to make some plays in this game for the Jets to have a chance.

how is that kind of silly? they have an excellent running game, which allows them to control the clock. once they establish a lead, they can just sit on the ball and rest their defense. this is how you win a superbowl.

by the way...plaxico burress didn't play in the last jets game and one of those interceptions (by the way chad had 3 with 0 td) was a hail mary with time expiring in the first half.

It's silly because nothing supports it. They have an adequate passing game at best. The last Jets-Steelers game was 3-3 going into the 4th quarter so spare me the clock control argument.

It's not silly. The Steelers don't need to score 35 points a game to win. They can do it if they need to, but normally don't..

Well if you pulling in 150-200yds a game rushing you normally win. I don't know why everyone acts like it's a bad thing to rush the ball.

Are you sure? I mean do you just hope that's true or are you really sure. I have an idea, why don't you tell me how many times the Steelers scored 35 points this year.
