Carter and Tyree need to go as well. Make Moss the #3 receiver.
Tyree is one of the best special teams guys in the game. They need to keep him.

Maybe one of the best to not make the pro bowl. He sucks as a WR.

He barely plays as a WR. Sure, when injuries sideline a whole bunch of guys, then the scrubs come in. You also have to realize that alot of the backup WR's (Carter included) suffer alot because Eli only has eyes for Plax. He will go to Burress in triple coverage and will not even see a wide open Tyree.

Cause every time he was passed to he dropped the ball. Same with Carter.

Emmons and Arrington had a full season between the two of them. While it seems like it would be a major blow to the defense, they have played without them and can make do. Cutting Petitgout really hurts their depth (especially considering that Whitfield retired as well), although their actual starting OL will still be OK. They might be able to pick up a decent cheap OL backup? I agree with the assessment of the secondary in this thread - it needs help. Madison & McQuarters both looked old and overmatched. I hope Manning lives up to his pedigree soon. Otherwise, he'll go the route of Dave Brown. Sadly, Kerry Collins might end up the most successful QB of the Giants' last 10-12 years.

EDIT: Grammar

They just cut Chad Morton.
Good riddance.
Giants kick/punt returns were pathetic this year.

Good. More dead weight gone. You're right, ThePresence. Morton was flat out awful as a return man. Only problem is that his replacement, second round pick Sinorice Moss, was even worse.

I don't think that's true. Moss consistantly got the ball to the 30. Morton just ran right and left like a squirrel in traffic.
